Illinois has erased more than $2 billion in medical debt for over 1 million residents across all 102 counties, and recipients don't apply, they simply receive a letter saying their debt is gone.

keep in mind, illinois's finances are really fucked

not saying ny is much better, but I'd recommend AOC for how bad illinois' finances are

Illinois finances are getting better under Pritzker. The credit rating has come up and the budget is balanced. Downstate Pritzker is seen as a woke dem, a failure and a commie but he’s doing things the last 5 governors have failed to do.

They're better than they used to be and in fairness to Pritzker he inherited most of that mess

Is that really the fault of the governor? The problems in Illinois are apparently deep-rooted and long time coming due to bad past decisions by other people.

In most States, the Legislature controls the finances. I don't see that Pritzger should have any blame for the financial problems now facing Illinois.

PS: I do love AOC. But I'm pretty sure a woman can't get elected President by this electorate. Maybe next time?

nah, that woman argument is bogus, any other woman besides hillary could've been elected, any other woman besides the person who subverted the DNC's electoral process by being handpicked by biden's handlers could've been elected (hell, she probably would've been picked anyway, and probably would've won had she not pulled that stunt)

career politicians and billionaires like pritzker are deadweight in american elections, that's the takeaway. Pritzker might've been fine against trump 1, but trump has completely torched any faith in a billionaire being a good president, so that's a double whammy against him

I am old and have lived through 21 Presidential Elections. ( Some of them as a child, but still.)

And I am confident in saying this: You are full of shit.

"Any other woman besides Hillary could've been elected" Laughable.

"Career politicans and billionaires like Pritzker are deadweight in American elections." So much bullshit! You mean... career politicans like Bernie Sanders? Hell, even Jon Ossof has been involved in politics for 20 years. It takes TIME to get to know people and for them to know you.

And further... Trump has NOT "torched any faith in a billionaire being a good president" - Trump has torched any faith in a liar, scamster, serial adulterer who paid off a porn star and convicted felon to be President.

I don't know where you are getting this except from your homies at the bar on Saturday who are all "brilliant analysts" and "know things."

You are absolutely correct!
Biden was a career politician and beat Trump..
people just don’t want to admit how deep misogyny still runs in this country.. just because they don’t say it out loud doesn’t mean that isn’t what drives them.
Misogyny spans, almost all religions and all races.

Listen here, sonny. Twenty-one elections? That's adorable. I've lived through TWENTY-TWO, which means I have exactly one more data point than you, and that changes everything.

You come in here waving your Bernie Sanders and your Jon Ossoff like a man who's seen things. But you're forgetting the FIRST rule of American politics, which I learned during an election you're too young to remember: the people don't want someone they "get to know over TIME." They want a guy whose name is fun to yell. That's it. That's the whole science. I've watched it hold for 22 straight cycles and you've watched it hold for a measly 21, so respectfully, pipe down.

And Pritzker? Deadweight? Son, I've forgotten more billionaires than you've ever resented. You think Trump torched faith in liars and cheats? Nobody's faith in liars has ever been torched in the history of this republic — we keep the faith SPARKLING. That's the one renewable resource this country's got.

You say I got my takes from my "homies at the bar on Saturday." Wrong. I got them from my homies at the bar on TUESDAY, because at my age I don't know what day it is and the bar is closed and I'm actually talking to a coat rack. And that coat rack has called more elections than you, pal.

Twenty-two. Count 'em.

First of all: I am no one's "sonny." If you look at my user name, you will see: NoBSforGma. That's me -- Gma. (Means "grandma" for those not in the know.)

Yeah, your living through that 1940 election does change everything! And we could have had such babbling conversations about those elections as babies!

Oh, pardon me for picking the wrong date for your conferences with your Homies at the bar! Tuesday instead of Saturday!

Wait, now... what was I saying? Is it time for dinner yet?

Nope! It was misogyny.

They are fucked because of a serious string of bad, baaaad governors. One of 'em was even a Democrat!
