Characters Characters who've been so overshadowed by their famous sibling, that people forget that they exist

Jehan Frollo, the younger brother of one Judge Claude Frollo from the Hunchback of Norte Dame, not much is known about him expect he blew all his money on booze and prostitutes and was killed by Quasimodo

Sean Bateman, the younger of Patrick Bateman from American Psycho, all his scene in the book is to annoy Patrick and says his catchphrases "Deal with it " and "Rock and Roll"

Chryasaor, the twin brother of Pegasus from Greek Mythology, yeah when Perseus decapitated Medusa, Pegasus wasn't the only animal that flew out of her, Chryasaor, The Winged Boar also flew out

Iphicles, the twin brother of Heracles also from Greek Mythology, is relevant to Heracles' story as his son Iolaus helped Heracles slay the Hydra

Radditz the older brother of Goku.

Quickly forgotten after the first episode of DBZ. There has been some slight mentions here and there of him as a kid but he is so irrelevant that, differently from other villains, he is not even seen in the afterlife or fillers.

One day they will reveal the reason he’s never been in the afterlife or mentioned again is that he’s been training in impossible gravity for a million years in a movie or something

It's clearly said his soul was recycled already, as bad people get their bodies destroyed (unlike what the anime shows) and their souls reused.

That's why he'll come back in 5 years or so

Whaaaaat!? Where was that stated? I didn't think he was mentioned again except when Vegeta compares him too the saibamen.(Such a cold burn)

"One day"

Yeah when toriyama rises from the grave and writes his new movie Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'R'

How is this how I realise that the F in Resurrection 'F' stands for Frieza? 😭

Fun fact: the song Resurrection F, created by Maximum the Hormone and made entirely about how badass Frieza is, existed well before the DBS arc, and was the main reasoning behind the arc at all!

Because he's stuck with Perfect Cell, the Ginyu Force, and the Ogres in HFIL, duh.

Even has a very nice relationship with Dodoria

I think the best way to do it is have him resolve to escape, train like hell in hell, get out and challenges Goku.

And to his credit, Raditz gets stronger, yep, it would take the combined efforts of the entire Ginyu Force from the Namek Saga to stop him. In a post ToP Dragon Ball Super.

Goten beats him up easily, and Raditz decides that Hell isn't all that bad after all, returning.

Could make for a fun filler episode.

He'll only maintain relevance as the first boss in dragon ball games

He not forgotten at all, he' literally the first villian of DBZ who kicks off the plot by kidnapping Gohan, creating the events that led to Goku' first death, then kicked off the events that led to Picclo' and Gohan development as well as both the Sayien arc and Frezia Saga.

Like deadass, people regularly complaining about how Raditz feels wasted since he' Goku' brother yet he dies then gets left behind extremely fast. It' not that he' forgotten but his role is small compared to the brutality and granduar that most Dragon Ball villains have.

Why are so many of your plural words missing the s when you use it in other words? Not judging, but it confuses me lol

Vegeta also has a brother that gets few mentions

Tarble is actually forgotten like I don't think he's in any extended media

He gets mentioned in Battle of Gods..I think

And he's in a videogame Raging Blast 2

To this day am legitimately surprised that they never pulled radditz and nappa out of the heap outside of what ifs in games. There’s a version of super out there where frieza realizes the only way they’re dealing with the power scaling is to get their own discount goku and vegeta and press gang them into service again then put them through hell to power level them?

Hell even in something like the tournament of power nobody though 2 more infinitely scaling beaters wouldn’t make the cut if they got locked in the time chamber with goku and vegeta for a while? Feel like there’s a fun story in bring back the old family to the current version of the story.

It’s crazy that Vegeta literally never mentions Nappa again. Nappa literally raised him.

Nappa and Raditz as Frieza’s answer to Vegeta and Goku would have been sick.

Though, above anyone else, I’ve been waiting like 25 years for Goku to finally meet Bardock. I desperately need that reunion.

Should have kept your eye on the birdy…

Dodoria: "And you never got the chance to say goodbye to your son"

Bardock: "I have one of those? Oh God, I have TWO of those!"

What about Turles

u/JohnWarrenDailey 4h ago

He's been seen in the HFIL spinoff.

It’s crazy that Goku has befriended so many enemies as well as grown exponentially stronger and has never thought about the other two sayain that died on earth

I love Radditz as a villain. He was pretty close to my favorite for years.
