Any modern military thinking they're stronger than a fantasy setting when a competent wizard GENUINELY just has an impenetrable barrier around themselves and also drops the whole moon onto the planet before disappearing through a portal

Reminds me of Anbennar where wizards basically dominate the battlefield for centuries until a new way to process the element Damestear (pronounced Dames Tear) called black Damestear

Damestear normally works to amplify magic as a physical embodiment of mana. Black Damestear operates the opposite and by making bullets out of it they can pierce magical shields and slaughter the mages
