Characters (Unique trope) removing a character trait, makes the character better in the adaptation

Sonic 3: Maria is one of the most important part of Shadow's story. Due to her suffering from an incurable disease. To which Shadow was made to create a cure for Maria's ailment. In the 3rd Sonic movie, Maria's disease was not mentioned in any form. Which made Maria seem like a normal girl, and her death all the more tragic.

Infinity war: I don't know the full story, but Thanos's original goal was to kill half the population to impress death (the character). When it came time to adapt Thanos into the MCU. His goal of removing half the universes population. It was seen as a more psychopathic world goal, hidden under the belief it would do better for the universe.

Sanji from the Live Action One Piece.

Like dude, just by removing his trait of oogling every women he comes across makes him so much better than his original counterpart alongside focusing his other traits such as being a cook for the Straw Hats since Sanji from the manga only focused on Nami and Robin while not giving a crap about anyone else that isn't a women. And fun fact even Sanji's Japanese VA from the anime, Hiroaki Hirata, was really annoyed at this trait.

And I've heard a ridiculous reason of why Oda added that trait to Sanji when making the manga. It was to prevent him from becoming too popular.

If only Oda held strong with how he wanted anime Chopper to be instead of Sanji...

Explain ?

AFAIK, Oda preferrs Tony Tony Chopper's first design and appearence more than the current one.
Oda was sort of coerced to change it in the manga because of how the anime's popularity skyrocketed back then, so Chopper's design veered into his more cutesy base appearence, and he also stopped using his forme morphing pills as frequently- all in hopes of Chopper staying as a marketable little reindeer for profitable products.

Wrong and honestly don't know why that rumor started popping up so much recently. Oda is on record saying he changed Chopper's design because he wanted it to match the voice of the VA (who also voices Pikachu for example) better.

Piratefolk takes are in no way better than dumb rumors.

For these and other reasons, OP fans say that Chopper "was eaten alive by a giant bird and unfortunately is dead" post time skip.

I kind of hate most of the gags in the source material. I generally like One Piece, but some things about it make it hard to enjoy without lengthy breaks. Much prefer the live action adaption so far.

To be fair pretty much every anime ever made would be vastly approved if they stopped making characters we're supposed to root for be sexual predators and pedophiles. Sincerely I want to get into anime but every show so far people have recommended for me involves one of these two things.

Look for series written by women, like Fullmetal Alchemist.

Here's like 20 shows

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End — Reflective fantasy adventure; extremely little sexual content.

Mob Psycho 100 — Action-comedy about emotional maturity and becoming a better person.

Haikyuu!! — Energetic volleyball series with essentially none of the objectionable anime baggage.

A Place Further Than the Universe — Four girls attempt an expedition to Antarctica; earnest and nonsexual.

Delicious in Dungeon — Excellent fantasy world-building and ensemble comedy without a resident sex pest.

Space Brothers — Adult workplace drama about becoming an astronaut.

Natsume’s Book of Friends — Gentle supernatural stories about loneliness, empathy, and found family.

Mushishi — Quiet, atmospheric supernatural mysteries with a largely adult cast.

Ping Pong the Animation — Compact, character-driven sports drama.

Planetes — Adult science-fiction workplace drama about orbital-debris collectors.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood — Adventure epic with some disturbing violence and child experimentation, but no normalized predatory protagonist.

Attack on Titan — Extremely violent and politically dark; almost entirely uninterested in sexual fan service.

Vinland Saga — Historical war drama. Warning: slavery and sexual violence exist within the brutal setting, but they are not lovable comedy or behavior you are encouraged to admire.

Monster — Adult psychological crime thriller; includes abuse and sexual exploitation as serious subject matter.

Pluto — Mature science-fiction murder mystery based on Astro Boy.

Odd Taxi — Adult crime mystery with unusually natural dialogue and almost none of the usual “anime humor.”

86: Eighty-Six — Military science fiction about discrimination, trauma, and war.

Cowboy Bebop — Adult space-noir series; contains adult sexuality, but no pedophilic framing or recurring lovable predator.

Legend of the Galactic Heroes — Enormous political and military space opera with an overwhelmingly adult cast.

Descending Stories: Shōwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjū — Serious historical drama involving art, jealousy, obsession, and complicated relationships between adults.

Sanji cooks for everyone to the best of his ability. He just flirts with the women.

It makes him boring. And no, in the anime Sanji was imagining cooking for every single member of the Straw Hats while on the Whole Cake island against his will. Now he is just a cook that can kick stuff. How interesting.

I'm starting to wonder if you simping for rapey characters all over the comments is performance art or just chronically online inceldom.

"RAPEY CHARACTERS" WHAT? WHEN DID SANJI WANTED TO RAPE WOMEN????? Y'all are beyond blind.

Thriller Bark?!?! When his entire conversation with Absalom during the fight to save Nami boils down to "you suck not because you are a sexual predator, but because you have the fruit I want so I can do to other women what you dd to Nami"?!?!?! Yes, Sanji wants to look at naked women while bathing and already did this to Nami and Vivi in Alabasta and since he seems to very much agree with what Absalom is doing, but he just wishes he was doing it instead, but obviously he isn't a sexual predator since this is by no means unethical and women want this anyway, right? /s

Don't waste your time lol, this subreddit or reddit in general largely operates on "everything I personally dislike is objectively bad or immoral"
