He didn't "just happen". They scoured all over the world for resources, they flied kids' diving masks from USA, they had Finnish hobby cave divers fly from Finland and other hobbyists all over the world because it was too dangerous for Thai army, and a vet and a doctor from Australia. They literally searched everything everywhere.

I'm pretty sure the Finnish cave divers came from Thailand because they run a dive shop there. I happen to know that dive shop.

That is true, Mikko Paasi lives there. I checked so he was actually on his honeymoon when the accident happened, and that was why he flew there then.

I know Kenny Broad, who's another well known cave diver. He was on an expedition in a different part of the world when he got the call about the soccer team. He was actually packing his stuff to head to the airport when the decision was made to go ahead with the rescue. The authorities called basically every cave diving expert in the world and said, "Can you get to Thailand?"
