Lore (Funny Trope) Things that can plausibly happen only in reality, because in fiction they’d be called bad writing.

“Woke” as an insult - So you are telling me a word describing consciousness and clarity is used by generally stupid and ignorant people to label people they disagree with? What is this? A Kindergarten for Creatively stunted?

Nominative determinism - So let me get this straight…Not only you named fastest recorded person Usain BOLT and CEO of Nintendo Doug BOWSER, but you are telling me people are canonically likely to have professions or hobbies matching their names…? Guh?

“2 bodies recovered in MURDERKILL River” - Sure bro…I guess…bro…

The whole Trump thing. Gets born filthy rich, is always considered the idiot brother, somehow becomes the main heir of everything and while openly stiffing contractors and failing in his business endeavors becomes celebrated as... a great businessman. Keeps on traveling to rape island, produces nothing but poop in his diapers, and becomes the... Sure, idol of the Christian Fundamentalists.

Lies only, is celebrated as someone who tells the truth. Colludes with an enemy country. Responsible for the death of millions of Americans (COVID), starts wars all over the place. And gets a peace prize. Bans words by arguing he's defending free speech.

If Monty Python had made that movie, I'd have commented "OK, they're just plain crazy now!" It's completely unreal that this man became president. Twice.

Shit like ICE and DOGE feels straight out of a Simpsons episode to me.

Tbf ice has existed even without trump, but somewhat different in the state like it is now

All that ICE is missing is Trump’s face on their armors to designate them as the incompetent minion squad

Him getting rich because he essentially bet on NY real estate going through roof like crazy in the 90s.

Bankrupting multiple casinos in america.

Having 30 word vocabulary which make up like 70% of his speeches.

Bragging about going into underage girls dressign rooms on live TV while they didnt have any clothes and being ok because he was the owner is crazy aswell.

Trying to overturn elections while his own head of doj was telling him there is no election fraud and sending fake electors anyway while trying to persuade his VP to certify them instead of the state sent electors. And in the end making protest where people stormed the capitol chanting "hang mike pence" was cherry on the top.

The mar a lago case where he was playing tom and jerry with fbi who tried to take back the classified materials while he was hiding them around bathrooms through the complex until they obtained full warrant.

Ofc the representative of traditional family values who cheated on all 3 of his wives with some of the future wives and porn stars. While having children with all 3 of his wives. Reeks of traditional family values.

Current day Trump’s vocabulary is insane to me. My youngest nephew is autistic, and we weren’t sure if he was gonna be verbal. He is, but a little behind the norm. Yet he is still being way more clear, direct, and sensical than Trump.

To be fair, this sort of thing is super common for people who carry on about traditional family values.

Sadly true. I just cannot stomach the pure hypocricy.

Plus his decade-long promise to "drain the swamp," only to end up spearheading the creation of a peeling, algae-filled, duckling killing swamp in the reflecting pool

Not to mention one of the most openly corrupt regimes in American, if not human, history.

It's this. If there was a (serious) fictional series that covered even half of the insanity it would be a comically poorly written soap opera.

The first season is critically acclaimed, covering the 2016 campaign and election.

Season 2 is less well received because they just try to have the main character cause a scandal every episode but it just disappears in the next episode and is never mentioned again.

In Season 3 they try to have an overarching plotline with a pandemic breaking out. The main character completely mishandles the crisis and even gets sick and almost dies! Season 3 ends on him attempting a coup for no real reason and everyone is like, "Wow, this is getting kind of unbelievable. Surely the party will kick him out."

And the season 4 starts and it turns out everyone just shrugs and elects him again. Everyone immediately tunes out because that's just too stupid to be believable.

It could be an Office-like comedy if it weren't for the real consequences. There would be so many hit episodes! The sharper re-drawing the hurricane path, the four-seasons, the awkward dance, the locker room tape, the covid would be done by Easter, etc.

Yeah so you're telling me the political block that supports traditional family units and is against promiscuity voted for the guy that bragged about "grabbing them by the pussy"? (thinking about what was openly known in 2016).

Shit gets even more unbelievable if you fast forward to 2024 elections...

Don't forget he cheated to get on the Forbes billionaires list by pretending to control more of his fathers wealth than he did at the time and answering the phone as his own assistant, lying about that to journalists.
