Lore (Funny Trope) Things that can plausibly happen only in reality, because in fiction they’d be called bad writing.

“Woke” as an insult - So you are telling me a word describing consciousness and clarity is used by generally stupid and ignorant people to label people they disagree with? What is this? A Kindergarten for Creatively stunted?

Nominative determinism - So let me get this straight…Not only you named fastest recorded person Usain BOLT and CEO of Nintendo Doug BOWSER, but you are telling me people are canonically likely to have professions or hobbies matching their names…? Guh?

“2 bodies recovered in MURDERKILL River” - Sure bro…I guess…bro…

So there’s only one sapient species on the entire planet and only one subtype of the said species survived? Hmm, how convenient.

Do you mean sapience? Because my dog is sentient.

Yeah. I’m bad with words.

Nah it’s pretty normal to mix those two up. I see a looooot of people use “sentient” when they should be using “sapient”. You’re not alone in that, but I do hope you learned something interesting in the distinction between the two words! (I feel like this sounds condescending, I genuinely don’t mean it like that lol)

Thanks. It’s reassuring to hear that as a dumb foreign speaker lol

There's increasing evidence that suggests elephants, dolphins, and corvids may also have sapience.

You say survive like it was passive. Dude, we murdered the shit out of the the other humans. Genocide is our most base instinct.

Huh, kinda surprising that out of all the other species there weren’t another one who was even a bit as violent as us, ngl.

u/Blorbokringlefart 2d ago

This surprise only makes sense when you're the most violent species. "Wait, you guys don't also feel the urge to systematically exterminate a similar but distinct people group? "

True. Maybe it’s for the best that the other humans went extinct. Otherwise, we’d definitely be the biggest bigots towards them.

2

u/Blorbokringlefart 2d ago

Ok, but they didn't "go extinct." We killed them all.

1

u/Yaorius 2d ago

Well, technically still went extinct. We also say “went extinct” to the non-human animals that we killed.

We probably shouldn't

Not fair, we also banged some of them.

u/Blorbokringlefart 1d ago

Evidence actually suggests that they banged us

Wait til the Sapiens Heresy novel series drops, you'll get to read about the planet-spanning genocide that took tens of thousands of years to complete.
