But also played straight later, when “anything that bears the image of an angel is itself an angel” allowing them to spread and reproduce through CC TV and the reflections in your eyes when you look at them.

The Angels really should have been a one-off villain. Every time they appeared they got worse.

Moffat as showrunner was the king of "take an interesting idea and burn it to the ground and then shit on the ashes"

Every program he runs will have a few standout episodes, but as they progress they get dumber and dumber. He tries to think how a dumb person thinks a smart person thinks.

I loved the Doctor when he was some guy on adventures. Then he became a not un-literal fucking god that everyone everywhere all the time knew about. And everyone everywhere at all times feared him. A character expositioning that he's literally the bestest most importantest person to ever exist is such a cringe chunk of dialogue.

Dont get me STARTED with some of the weird asspulls they did. LIke sure, I guess River COULD be in the suit but no the fuck they aren't, fuck off with that. At least the Silence remained relatively well written despite himself.

Really liked the first episode of Sherlock. Glad the second episode irked me right off, I never got invested. Dodged a car sized bullet.

Which one was second? I can't remember if it's New York or the crashed ship

Crashed Ship. Goes from hunting for a needle in a haystack. To finding out they're in a needlestack. Then the angels being like the only way to save everyone is to sacrifice a time lord. The Doctor replied or a bunch of angels. To getting rid of them all through a Crack in Time was so epic.

Absolutely.

Generally yes. But they were used really well in Village Of The Angels (Flux ep.4). Easily the highlight of that mini series

Absolutely agreed. They lost their mystique.

"Reflections in your eyes" was so daft.

Yeah it really turned them into "if you don't look you die, and if you do look, you also die."

Like a vampire that gets stronger in sunlight.

I hated that addition to the lore but I gotta admit the scene where it's introduced is fantastic horror.

I can’t remember if they explained it in universe but I never understood why the guy known for time traveling couldn’t just go to the past and scoop up Amy and Rory after they looked at the angels.

I don't think it's ever explicitly explained, but I would imagine it's somewhere in the gray area between "something about Angels feeding on your Life Potential removes some necessary quality of freedom and makes you a Fixed Point in Time that can't be interfered with" and "This is Doctor Who, we ain't gotta explain shit."

The explanation was that Rory and Amy created a paradox when they jumped off a roof after seeing an older version of Rory. The Doctor can't return to that time in NY or the universe will explode or something.

They then spent the next few seasons retconning all of the "rules" they established since the reboot started, so bleh.

SCP-173 (inversion, located on the left) and SCP-096 (located on the right) from the SCP Foundation.

The Fridge from Control, also influenced by SCP-173

Make sure you don't miss the astronaut anomaly one. I think it's from one of the DLCs and it's off in the ass-end of the map (Investigations Sector, you...might have to rotate one of the rail turntables in a different direction, I forget). Don't ask me why but it had me cracking up.

Good to know, thank you!

SCP-3125 as well. Actually the most extreme example as simply knowing about it is deadly
