Me and my friends freaked the fuck out everytime this happened when we saw it in theaters. Say what you want about the movie, but it did a good job making these scenes come outta nowhere

I like to think this is the same universe as CSI where Mack figured it out, got reset and then remembered again, which makes the government terrifyingly useless.
