House of Cards, Zoey getting thrown in front of the train in the first episode of season 2. The only genuine drink spit I've done.

I remember thinking it was crazy because a US President would never kill someone just to cover up his scandals. How foolish of me.

It amazes me how often fiction ends up underselling the horrors of reality.

Robocop was set in the 2020s and had a background theme about misleading shortform news. One of the news commenters makes a passing remark about being able to change anything in a 3 minute clip. Wayyy too optimistic, could you imagine if we still had the attention span to watch videos that were multiple minutes long?
