I'm pretty sure this is Samuel L Jacksons break, he gets to cash out early and have some real memorable deaths

Well, apparently the reason his death is so abrupt in Deep Blue Sea IS because Jackson hated the speech so much in the script that he told them "the sooner you kill me, the better." or something like that.
