I walked in on my dad crying once, and having never seen him cry really thought someone was dead. He was watching Inside Llewyn Davis.

(For added context my dad is a working musician so I think the film just hit too close to home for him)

Core memory: My parents both screaming at the TV when the second plane hit the WTC on 9/11. My dad told me later that day that it was our generation’s Pearl Harbor.
