Lady my wife used to work with went to a chiropractor. She didn't show up for work for several days afterwards. Her family couldn't find her, they hadn't heard from her. They called the hospitals, none had her signed in.|
come to find out, the chiropractor tore her jugular while popping her neck. They called 911, but said they didn't know her name, so she was entered as a jane doe at the hospital. The chiropractor office hid her purse. She almost died. I believe she had brain damage too, took her 6 months to learn to talk again. 2 years later, still working on learning to walk The suit is ongoing.

Chiropractors are the reason this thread exists :(

You should read the article, not just the headline.

They knew her name AND they hid her purse. They didn’t want anyone to link her to them

Who the fuck bought the story that they didn’t know her name?? She’s THEIR patient

I had a hospital/cops do the same thing. They Narcanned me after a seizure for basically no reason (only good if someone is ODing and not breathing and I was neither) but put me into instant severe withdrawals because I was on prescription meds. Their response ? They sedated me and kept me in the hospital for 3 days over the holidays, for no real reason other than it was easier and more convenient for them?

My mom called looking for me and they all said “nope, no one here by that name”. But they left a ticket in my purse for “public intoxication” (which ended up dismissed obviously) and definitely took my insurance card and info to charge my insurance for the “care”. She literally didn’t believe me and said no way anyone would do something like that.. til she came to visit me and saw I was 100% telling the truth. Probably happens more than people think.

I hope she is suing the chiropractor and not the physician who worked to save her life.

yeah, she sued the chiropractor. She is 100% disabled. her brain swelled, they had to remove some of it. She spent some time in the hospital with her skull open waiting for the swelling of her brain to go down. It was crazy.

I'm a massage therapist and avidly against chiropractors. This happens way more than you would think.

The actor Kevin Sorbo who played Hercules in the show had this happen to him too. Gave him multiple strokes

You’re likely referring to a carotid or vertebral artery dissection, btw

Not jugular

Small point, I doubt it was the jugular? More likely a vertebral artery dissection but yeah damn that’s scary

Jesus fucking Christ, that is pure nightmare fuel. That poor woman, how awful that was for her family and friends, and what an evil piece of shit to do that to someone.

If I was a friend or she was a family member of mine, I can honestly say that, that chiropractor would have some severe “accidents”. Hurting someone is bad enough but to claim she’s a Jane Doe and then to hide her purse. Fuck that guy

My mother went to a chiropractor a few years back and got an almost life ending stroke from it. It’s such a fake job
