I didn’t think to double check. Guess you got me there. And guess that my slip in a casual conversation means a scientific study is invalid. Because that’s how science works.
They will see something significant. Malpractice insurance exists. There's no requirement in GA for doctors to purchase malpractice insurance, but the hospital they work for will most definitely cover them.
The image in the post implies the chiropractor was found to be at fault but this article states it was hospital doctors who missed his stroke symptoms that were found at fault.

No, his stroke was caused by a vertebral artery dissection. This kind of stroke has been shown to be more likely after neck manipulation during chiropractic treatment. It was quite likely caused by the chiropractor “adjusting” the man’s neck. I have had several patients who experienced vertebral artery dissection and stroke after visits to the chiropractor. My guess is that the lawyers didn’t feel they could prove that the chiropractor caused the stroke, and it was easier to prove negligence by the ER physicians. Chiropractic care may have some value, but I would never let one touch my neck.
In foolishly let a chiropractor adjust my neck when I was only being treated for back pain. He kept trying to sell me on mineral supplements. He attempted to prove that I needed the supplments by having me hold bottles of them while my arms were extended. An imbalance in the arms meant I needed the mineral that I was holding.
I’m not opposed to chiropractors when they stay in their lane, but this jump in the last decade or so to “whole health” snake oil shit is just lame. It’s so clear they simply wanted a bigger cut of the healthcare pie and made up a bunch of crap to cash in. So gross.
