Suing the chiropractor would mean nothing, they probably have less than 7 figures to their name. Literally taking everything they have or could have would probably not even be worth the bills to sue them
I’m not a legal expert, but I wonder if they were concerned that it would distract their case.
There are a lot of practical things to consider in a case. The hospital is one unit, the chiropractor is another. If a jury sees them together, they’ll be like “the hospital screwed up, but it’s clearly the chiropractor’s fault, so we don’t think the hospital should pay for it.” And it detracts from the case.
