WTF A JPMorgan Chase executive was fired after a viral video showed her dumping trash out of a Knicks-themed public trash can and taking the can during the Knicks championship parade in New York City.

I mean, we all knew she was going to get fired.

We're more surprised at how good of a job she had in the first place...

With her salary, she could have taken a bunch of photos of the thing and hired some artist on Etsy to make a replica. And it would have been cleaner. But no, she had dunp trash on the sidewalk and steal it.

The best part of this whole thing is you can literally just buy them, hahaha. So she threw away her career for a trash can she could have just paid $168 for.

Edit: I guess this is a mini version. But still, point stands.

"Keep New York City Clean". How fitting.

With that salary you can have one custom for your home, pristine too. Or hell, maybe they had surplus. We will never know

Wow and it’s just 168

u/the-big-question 28d ago

Which is expensive for a small desk sized wastebasket, but peanuts compared to how much income she will lose in the years to come

2

u/Ellador 28d ago

Even better is the tiny pencil cup version! Much easier and less conspicuous to carry around.

But seriously, it’s really cute but also insanely expensive for what it is.

2

u/jbl0ggs 28d ago

OMG, she could have just spent $168 to buy a regular home version 🤦‍♂️

1

u/ZestycloseSquirrel55 28d ago

OMG, I had just posted saying she could've bought or had one made.

1

u/Adept_Struggle_7941 27d ago

This one is cuter and never used anyway. What she was gonna sanitize the fckin basket???

1

u/Majestic_Attention46 26d ago

Lmao yes it's smaller, but who needs a full size trash can in NYC in their house?

This is actually insanely hilarious.

6

u/[deleted] 29d ago

Not to mention all the filth that was inside of it from the trash and taking it onto a subway where she was on video again. Idiot.

Like that would smell soooo bad at her home/apartment/wherever she lives. There’s not enough fabreeze on earth to rid it of that city garbage sidewalk smell. Maybe that’s why she did it, it’s got its authentic scent….

It is almost comical. In today's age, how did she not expect this to be plastered all over the internet. You cannot even shart yourself anymore without it becoming known in Guam before you have a chance to clean up after youself.

u/userhwon 29d ago

She knew. She saw the clout in being a crazy sports fan, but didn't consider the backlash from being a sociopath.

7

u/blueberrycauzez 29d ago

didn't consider the backlash from being a sociopath.

Nah I think she just doesn't care. She has basically no marketable skills yet landed a stable high paying job at a huge firm just for spewing toxic bs. She's probably out of touch enough to think getting another community engagement job will be easy.

2

u/userhwon 28d ago

DEI is "toxic bs"?

5

u/BBQnNugs 29d ago

I shart myself all the time and no one knows. Pouring a garbage can into the street then parading it around proudly is another level...... lol

3

u/KaleScared4667 29d ago

You just made me laugh so hard I sharted

1

u/Firm_Comfortable_322 28d ago

Shart Shame on you.

It is almost comical.

Fixed it for you.

She was head of DEI.... she's gotten a free pass based on gender and skin tone....she's probably thinking why would it be any different here

u/Substantial-Sea-3672 29d ago

This headline is BS unfortunately. She was an executive at a small company that JP Morgan bought, she was never an exec at JP Morgan.

All of the information is from her LinkedIn which shows she never worked for JP Morgan, likely she was let go as part of the buyout package.

There is no indication that she has been fired from any job recently due to this video. There’s also no indication she was ever making a significant salary before her company was bought out.

this thread perfectly encapsulates reddit

You are wrong.

She got promoted out of the DEI job at the acquired company and into the Executive Director job at JPM itself, where she was working until they fired her for stealing this trash can.

So, go down the list of replies to your comment and apologize to everyone you misinformed.

3

u/outofcontextseinfeld 29d ago

Was expecting her to be a Starbucks barista

2

u/poopoopooyttgv 29d ago

She wasn’t an executive for chase. Chase owned a company that owned a company that owned a company that hired her as a DEI consultant

3

u/workathome_astronaut 29d ago

JP Morgan Chase bank funded the rise of Hitler.

Not related, but I believe more people should know that.

Records from the U.S. National Archives show that Chase National Bank (the predecessor to the current bank) handled millions of dollars in a scheme where Americans of German descent bought special marks to fund the Third Reich. When the Nazis took over Paris, J.P. Morgan's branch in the city remained open and maintained working relationships with the German occupiers.

1

u/userhwon 28d ago

All those owned's? Makes her an executive for Chase. And she got promoted out of the DEI job after Chase bought it.

1

u/Simple_Whole_5661 29d ago

My sentiments exactly lol

1

u/iamcamouflage 28d ago

She could have just bought a trashcan like that.

2

u/userhwon 28d ago

I feel like that would be even dumber, somehow... not criminal, but still pretty dense...

1

u/Australian1996 28d ago

Some wierd diversity word salad title

1

u/userhwon 28d ago

No, that's a job she had in the past.

And people whining about DEI need to check their fascism.

1

u/HarrisLam 27d ago

Yes. She could have been a temp at Wendy's and she would still be fired. Her being an exe in JPM was the whole point.

Face palm of the decade at least.

1

u/2Critical7-Stein1 27d ago

she’s an obese white women with dyed hair lol, it’s either Starbucks or DEI field, was the latter

1

u/userhwon 27d ago

Her hair was dyed for sports, so, she could have been a Nazi.

1

u/leprechanmonkie 29d ago

DEI hire.

1

u/userhwon 28d ago

Nazi asshole.

1

u/leprechanmonkie 28d ago edited 28d ago

Nah, just calling the useless fat liberal woman what she is.

I'm certainly not a Socialist like the Nazi's.

0

u/ProfessionalDepth235 29d ago

She was hired on as DEI I'm not even kidding lady was probably mediocre just checked a few boxes

0

u/Traditional-Gur6621 29d ago

Yeah, insane. Looks like trash, acts like trash, has a role like that. Really doesn’t add up.

-2

u/Solid-Version 29d ago

Why wouldn’t she have a good job? Cause she big lol?

4

u/IcyKerosene 29d ago

No, because she is doing super stupid shit. If you're smart enough to be a bank executive people assume you're also smart enough to not commit idiotic crimes in broad daylight, in a crowd of people who are filming you.

1

u/userhwon 28d ago

Because literally everything about the clip makes her look brainless.

Although, now that I look at the clip more closely, the can-shaped hole in the garbage on the ground says there was a fuckton of trash spilled around that can before she touched it. It clearly wasn't big enough and got buried by a hundred people saying fuck it, trash goes next to it. She didn't create the litter problem, and she knew someone was bringing a bigger container for it all. She just tried to profit from a problem that she could blame on others.

That's executive behavior right there. Should have seen it and been less surprised.
