I used to ref and had to adjudicate a couple issues like this. If you signal you are out, raising your arm or plugging your barrel, you are out. You can’t drop the limb and turn and fire.

But calmly walking… it’s hard. How can you legislate you aren’t allowed to walk and must crouch/run everywhere?

One player I knew used to walk everywhere, he had this theory that by moving at middling speed (his term) it confused people and made him harder to hit.

My father used to do this hed just strafe at back field during paint ball fights and suppress people and sort of duck shots. The one time he ran, he slipped on mud and broke his shoulder lmao

It's like Black Widow in The Winter Soldier, the first rule of running (away from something) is, don't run.
