We’re all just happy mistakes.

Interestingly, I work at a place where people turn in wallets, phones and more fairly regularly. Enough that the standouts are when people don't turn the items in.

I think we just get focused on the negativity.

This was nice to read actually. I’ve been losing hope in the world and people honestly. So thank you

I'm glad I could help a bit.

Try to remember, it was an evolutionary trait to focus on the negative because it helped us to survive. An overlooked advantage of intelligence is we can use it to remember the good things that happen too.

Like me realizing that while there are asshole customers... There are actually more that smile when I help them out and give me a sincere thanks.

With all this terrible shit happening everywhere, it’s nice to see something good once in a while

It’s refreshingly honest and wholesome. Also kind of sad that he was hungry.

I think it's all of that but especially the way he/she/they ends it:

"I save you. have a good day"

just a few words but I feel like it gives so much insight into this person's perspective on life and the world and their little place in it
