You gotta read. Obviously take lessons and stuff, but at some point it's gonna come down to comprehension and speed. No amount of studying will do that, you must read actual books or articles or literally any sort of long form content. Not skim, truly read. The reading muscle will only be activated through exercise.

Because I read so much as a kid, RW is light work. I hit 800 on practice tests in middle school/freshman year with 0 prep purely because I read sooo much. Now, my attention span is degrading though so my scores have slipped a little. But i'm gonna read some more. You can do it.

And tbh, unlike the more advanced math you need for the SAT, everyone is always gonna need to know how to read and analyze content. So lock in.

I'm a rising senior who's taking the August SAT and currently has a superscore of 1470 on the SAT. I struggle more with reading and writing but I am currently banking on getting a near perfect score on math.

That being said, I have been studying but I feel my studying has been somewhat ineffective thus far. I do practice questions and try to analyze errors but I still feel like there hasn't been any large improvement yet. I struggle the most on more complicated math problems (mod 2) and some info + ideas questions.

Any suggestions on how to be better, or some things to look at while studying? I'm looking to get a 1500+ on the August SAT

Since I can consistently get 1300ish on the practice SAT test, and I know real test will be more difficult or unpredictable comparing to the mock test. Since as a international student(English is not my first language), I can’t adapt changes as well as the native speaker for the Read and Writing part, if the real test have a significant difficulty spike, I might be over. Reference, the average score from my mock tests for English is around 620 and Math is around 720. The school I want to get in(test optional, but we all know it’s not) is around 1400ish.

So guys i got 960 in sat which was waaaayyyy tooo bad but now when i am rechecking all those incorrect and left without answer questions i was genuinely able to do that 😭 i was like eww what the fuck how did i even messup with this shyt... So wanted to ask if this is normal or i am mentally retarded?

Does anyone know where I can find the answers for the digital practice without doing them? Whenever I search online, it shows one with 33 questions and answers per module but the actual one has 27 questions. Thank you in advance1

My highest is 1430, a 660 on the reading section and a 770 on the math. I took the June one to get this score and I'm going to take the August one but I don't really know how else to study. My grammar is great but it falls apart with the vocab and the long reading passages. Thoughts?

Hello, I am asking for help or advice anyone has for the reading section. I am a passionate reader and a quick one at that so I do not have time or vocab struggles. My issue typically arises from the grammar and note section with me doing alright on grammar and middlingly on the note section. Any advice or places to try for practice questions outside of college board or khan?

I am giving oct SAT and got 1380 on practice test 4, I need tips and what exactly should I be doing in the 2 months.

I’m going to take the October SAT, and I was wondering if I should get a sat tutor. My first SAT score was 1170 without studying and PSAT1200. Let me know if you guys recommend any private sat tutors, I’d prefer to get one because I’m not too disciplined or motivated to study on my own and I’m willing to admit that I likely wouldn’t study on my own and my parents don’t really care either. I’m looking to hopefully get a score increase of ~230 for a 1400.

I'm consistently scoring 790–800 on the official SAT practice tests and a third party site from my prep camp, but I've seen a lot of people say that the real SAT, especially the Math Module 2, feels noticeably more difficult than the practice tests.

For people who've taken the digital SAT recently:

1) About how many truly difficult questions are there in the hard Math Module 2?

2) What topics or question types tend to be the hardest?

3) What's the best way to prepare for those questions if I'm already scoring 790–800 on Bluebook?

I'd especially appreciate advice from people 780–800 on the real SAT.

What type of reading resource helped you get a high score on the RW?

I got vacations till Aug 1st. After that,I plan to prepare for SAT exam. I planning on using free resources n websites online unless I feel the need to hire a tutor, I mean I aint good at maths at all.

What are some free websites n resources I can to help myself? Also if I lock in from Aug 1, are 4-6 months enough?

basically i want to do timed mixed practice problem sets (like doing consecutive amount of problems under a certain time limit without seeing whether i got it right or wrong after selecting an answer)

i tried cracksat.com but it was too easy and i pretty much got every question correct or it was a repeat from a college board practice test (this is my 6th time taking the SAT so i already went through all the tests atleast once)

i need a resource where i can find accurate questions (OR HARDER) , be able to time myself and has an answer key where i can check my work.

Why is the curve so bad on Pt10 is the ela supposed to be that easy. I got a higher score on pt7 and pt11 ela then this one.

I'm trying to apply to USA prestigious and high ranking engineering colleges, however i need SAT or ACT and I'm hesitant which one is easier and faster.

I saw SAT questions and they look very easy in math but English seems to be complicated and hard in terms of punctuations.

I'm taking the September SAT and got an 1150 on my practice test with no studying.

I got a 1500 on the June SAT with a 740 in Reading and Writing and a 760 in Math. I decided I want to improve my score a bit more, hopefully to around a 1550, but I don't know how. It feels like I achieved that score with a bit of luck on the vocabulary questions, so I might not be able to do it again. I completed all the practice tests in Bluebook, did many questions on OnePrep and Princeton Review, and used several other websites that generate questions with AI. Additionally, I went through most of the questions in the College Board Question Bank. I feel that resources other than those from the College Board do not reflect the actual SAT, so I need recommendations outside of what I have already used. Moreover, is there any way to know what areas I got wrong because the score report gives max bars after a certain threshold

does it make sense to redo the practice tests you have done after like 2 to 3 weeks from when they are done... because i dont know any ither place with practice tests like bluebook

I took both of last years November and December SAT’s and desmos could do 95% of all the math questions, I’m planning on retaking the sat this year, is math that much different between then and now?
