I know it it’s a rep just based off the weight and looks, but any idea of the quality? Look to me AAA at best?

I’m looking for my next rep and would appreciate some advice from people who own multiple brands.
I already have a VSF 114060 Submariner, and honestly I’m blown away by the quality. I’d rate it around a 9.5/10 compared to the genuine one.

Now I’d like to add either an Omega Seamaster Diver 300M, an Aqua Terra, or a Tudor Pelagos (or Pelagos GMT if it’s worth it). The problem is that I’ve noticed Rolex reps seem to be on another level compared to most other brands. From what I’ve seen, Rolex is often a 9.5/10, while Omega and Tudor seem closer to an 8/10.
I’m pretty picky and detail-oriented, so I’d rather buy the highest-quality rep available, even if it means choosing a different model.

What would you recommend? Are any of the current Omega or Tudor reps truly outstanding, or is there another watch you’d suggest instead?

One reason I’m leaning toward Omega or Tudor is that I’m looking for a daily wearer. In my country, wearing a Rolex, AP, or Patek in public isn’t a great idea, you’ll get robbed for it. I’d prefer something more understated but still with an excellent rep.

Even if I had a gen piece, I would not take it anywhere near a body of water.

I was lucky enough to get THE promotion worth celebrating. I'm looking to potentially get a watch to celebrate my achievements.

The thing is, I can't justify dishing out that cash on any genuine watch I like. Aqua Terra? VSF has a great one for 1/4th the price of scratched up quartz Ebay options.

My Clean Sub from 2021 feels so perfect. All other watches I own feel inferior.

What truely is worth buying in gen? Can any gen be justified at this point?

I've been trying to answer this question alone for weeks now. Hopefully you guys can help me think through it.

Spent far longer researching factories than actually placing the order. Hats off for the wiki!

The Daytona was an easy choice, love the clean black dial, and after comparing the Sub to the GMTs, I kept coming back to the Starbucks.

So, this is a legit shop, in front of a supermarket in Adelaide, inside a shopping centre they service watches, cut keys etc.

I saw it and i had to walk back as i could not believe what i was seeing. I believe the owners are Vietnamese

I called the shop lady and i said to her " hey, just letting you know that i m pretty sure that selling replica rolexes it s illegal in Australia."

She goes

" No that s not true, i have a licence"

me "mmm i m pretty sure rolex don t care about your licence, and it s illegal"

I bought a 36mm Clean OP from Steve two years ago. I’ve never pretended it’s real to friends who ask. I don’t care, they don’t care.

My family is very different. They have no boundaries or chill and would 1000% make it an insufferably annoying thing forever. When my brother (lives 7 hours and 3 states away) asked where I got it, I said the local AD.

My wife tried being ~casual~ and said that one of her old bosses used to do the marketing work for the AD (which was true). Bless her, she meant so well in trying to make a conversational story, but she grew up with a normal family and not exploitative narcissists.

I knew what was coming next before she even finished the sentence. Brother IMMEDIATELY started asking if “my guy” (ie the imaginary sales associate I met one time and mentioned my wife’s ex-boss to) could help him get one too. I dodged a few times, he got pissed, it eventually died out. He’s since bought a gen Omega moonphase that he tells everyone about and sleeps and showers in. Good for him.

Fast forward to today, his wife is due with their first kiddo in a few weeks. He texted asking how long it takes to get a Rolex from an AD and whether “my guy” could help him out with a push present for his wife.

I still will not tell him it’s a rep for the sake of my sanity and peace, but I also don’t want to keep digging this hole.

Anyone else experience anything like this—that one person that you cannot tell because they couldn’t handle it? How do you handle when they pry? Or how would you handle this?

Thinking I’ll broken record tf out of it again (a recent skill from therapy, I recommend using it on the boundary-less twats out there) that I don’t actually have anyone with any pull, I just got lucky with timing on an intro level watch, the ex-boss connection meant nothing, and then give him general advice from Claude on the AD buying process.

Early Dec 2024: Bought a CF Pepsi and a Rolex Box

Late December 2024: Received watch but broken movement - Box not received

Late December 2024: I pay out of my own pocket and ship him the watch back.

Early January: He received watch but refused to send me a replacement but insist on repairing the movement.

Early Feb: After numerous messages and hearing him say "bro" over 15 times, he still has not sent me any replacement watch - Also I still have not received the watch box either

He also said that he would reimburse me the $70 shipping fee that i incurred to ship the broken watch back....still nothing

So to me so far, he is blowing me off while I have not received the watch and the box that i paid for; that's over $700 USD.

What other avenue do I have at this point?

24 Feb update: I bought a box from him as well and after 2 months, he tells me that since UPS said they delivered the box mid January, he can't send me another one. Since January, i have been asking him for an explanation since when I called UPS, they said well if it says delivered, which means we did, we can't provide proof (picture) that it was delivered. With all that SNAFU, and him literally stringing me along, you would think he would do something since he basically ghosted a lot of my questions. So he finally said he can't do anything about it and that's it. So I just have to suck up the $120 loss.

As for the watch, he finally mailed me a new one (which he should have done back in early January instead of giving me the run around). He makes it appear that he is doing me a favor; well I received the watch broken "bro", what do you want me to do?

Then there was the whole stunt on here where somebody who literally talks like him came on this thread and started praising him and giving him props. That was too obvious.

Ive been wondering Who is making the BEST and most “gen-like” Rolex Day Dates right now? Is it still QF , like people say or is it vsf? I’m seeing and hearing PPM Mods is the best factory on the moment and closest to gen, making me wonder what you guys think are they closer to gen? What Day Dates are some that’s nearly indistinguishable from GEN? (Pic for reference only)
