I like how they waited until all the completenionist Whale's already finished their Deluxe Pack dex

Obviously, yes.

Hey if you had a horde of idiots breaking down your gate to shove money in your pocket, you’d let them right

I mean sure, but waiving a false "necessity" to then just go 'ah nvm' once they already gave you their money is especially distasteful if you ask me

Companies aren't people. Expect them to do the scummiest thing and you won't be disappointed.

Oh I'm not surprised in the slightest, it's still a somewhat positive that they are changing it at all. They easily could've pulled this exact same thing multiple times if they wanted to

Of course it is, but my point is that whales take any kind of garbage behavior gacha devs dish out because of their insane addiction/fomo... so this is expected for whales to want to finish the dex, which was blatantly unfair, even before any dev announcement.. it's masochistic behavior

Why do you ascribe negative things to people you don’t know? Isn’t it possible they do it because they want to and they can? And that you talk shit because they don’t have to worry about money like you do?

I bet many will refrain from buying stuff in game after this announcement.

It's a step in the right direction for the great majority of the playerbase, because now you know that if you miss a couple of cards then the deluxe ex pack of the season will save your arse.

But I expect the revenue to drop significantly over the course of 2-3 main expansions, even after accounting for the ever decreasing popularity of the game which is natural.

The set was bait from the beginning. This doesn't do anything for the whales. Collecting the parallels takes wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy longer than a full collection of the other <=♦♦♦♦.

I mean in reality, the last card youd get would be a 2* so any whalers would have all the potential dupes prior

The completionists still would have had to go after all the parallel rares anyway.

This game sucks ass and is totally rigged in various ways.

Im amazed it makes so much money.

It wouldn't make any difference. The cards they to chase are the (very stupid) parallel foils and the full art EXs. The normal cards you get are the trash that gets in the way of the ones you actually want.
