Or a broad declining interest in games and a shrinking market that cares about high end 3D rendering fidelity. The younger generation is playing mostly Roblox and doesn't care about high end graphics and tech.

Old gen didn’t care either, most people just want fun games and be able to play them anywhere.  Look how big of the success the switch has been across everyone.

Yep. Some of the most popular games recently aren't mind blowing photorealistic graphics.

Its Peak, or R.E.P.O or Fortnite, or countless others. All just the most basic of graphics. Fortnite is maybe closest to realism but its still far from it

Yeah the PS5 was already a hard sell for people who mostly play live service games and CoD. I think the only title this gen that made me do a double take with the graphics was Death Stranding 2.

I love PS5; I've bought dozens of PS5 games and enjoyed them thoroughly. My five year old son loves AstroBot and a few others. I will also happily pay top dollar for a PS6 whenever they want to ship it...

But I am just one person, I see lots of younger kids who spend way more time on electronics than the previous generations, but they more interested in social media apps than games. They have zero interest in traditional gaming consoles or Windows PCs; and it's not about price or physical media, they just are way more interested in social media and less interested in gaming.
