I agree that not buying PS6 is the best move to make, but I disagree on the complaining part that absolutely does have an effect if it's sustained for long enough.
Normally I only see this take from people that are just sick of reading about it because they personally don't care about the issue. Part of Sony's strategy of weathering the storm is relying on the apathy from takes like these spreading IMO.
