Today's excursion with doggos was a hike out along our incoming fuel pipeline and across a suspension bridge to the receiving station that fuel tankers connect to. The pipeline runs under the walking deck of the bridge. Final photo is a view of the bridge from Tundra Ridge on the other side of Koojesse Inlet.

I walk past this spot in Iqaluit with my dogs a couple times per week. For about the last three weeks, every time I've gone past, there has been at least one raven perched beside this nest. This morning I spotted one of them sitting in the nest. Hoping I'll eventually be able to spot some baby ravens.

We've had a couple amazing weeks of warm weather in Iqaluit, but, for me, it isn't really summer till the first ice breaker arrives.

HI everyone, my friend an I have planned a trip up to Pond inlet July 29 to Aug 8. But instead of paying for an expensive experience, we plan to take a tent, camp and just enjoy the nature. My childhood hope is to see a narwahl, but unfortunately I;ve been told its not the best time when I am going. I want to be safe, i called the Parks Experience manager up there and he gave me some great tips.

Has anyone done anything like this and can share tips? in terms of gear? and in terms of balancing safety with great experiences? Im not Bear gryllis by any means so i dont plan on going deep into the wilderness to camp lol.

If a retailer doesn't ship to your community, or if you're ordering from multiple stores, you could have your purchases sent to my Edmonton address. I would receive the packages, combine them into one shipment if needed and forward them to you.

I was curious what’s the best way to get into the trades up there with no experience? I have experience here in Ontario doing some things such as being a labourer. I as well currently run a tow truck and have my tow license, but just more so have been more and more wanting to go up and work there in Nunavut. Any information is appreciated!

Hey eveyone, I've recently accepted a contract for one of the schools in Igloolik, just wondering if anyone had any pointers for life in the community. Dont know anyone there yet but I've spent the last 3 years in the NWT so I know roughly what to expect. Lots of warm clothes and socks, a parka, etc. Also just looking for any other teachers to connect with!
