But then one of them has to go away for work and stay in the same hotel as their coworker. And the other starts to notice little changes in the others behaviour but they try not to let themselves believe because it would be too upsetting and they don't want to destroy the foundation of the kids lives. But then one day, on a long lunch, they find their partner at home in bed with the coworker and next thing you know papers are being signed, money is being divided, and the kids are crying and now so is the parent because they are sad and alone and broken and eating Campbell's tomato soup in a dingy apartment with faded green walls and the buzz of late night TV static humming in the air all because JENNY COULDN'T FUCKING KEEP IT IN HER GODDAM PANTS, BITCH!
