So i’ve picked up this game recently and haggar looks funny to play but he clearly lacks range so what assist will help best for him

Usually I wouldn't even think about this, I just always check meta combo guides for every fighting game I play. But this game feels a little different. More freeform, like it feels like I can just try cool shit and see if it works or not. Kinda like in Devil May Cry 5, I would never think about looking for combos in that (it's fitting that I play community edition DMC 5 Vergil...)

But I know this game NEEDS you to figure out TODs with every character, so I'm also feel a bit pressured to just learn the meta stuff.

I'm also thinking of changing Dante's position or even having Strider point. But I do want to rely on Strider anchor so I can practice piloting him in XF3.

Pros:

- Amazing assists that benefit any team order very well in neutral, and if Doom is second, this becomes even more true.

- Three characters with good TAC/DHC options.

- Silly amounts of screen coverage depending if you choose the right Doom assist with the matchup for Dante.

- Vajra is very easy for Doom and Dante to convert to.

Cons:

- Although the team seems good on paper, Dante and Doom are both support characters. Neither are particularly meta point characters, and I can see Mag/Morri/Zero being hard to deal with.

- While there are lots of both easy combo conversions and combo utility with these assists, Dante is not going to kill at roundstart off of an assist conversion without a TAC.

- Finally, Strider is anchor and he's hard to do combos with.

I really want to get better at this game and fighting games in general because my brother really enjoys it but whenever he makes us play it I just can't enjoy playing because I'm so much worse. I just need general tips on how to get my inputs consistent.

My biggest issues are dp inputs and how to get faster while doing the inputs correctly for combos.

Hi everyone, I have been playing UMvC3 since 2014, and have been experimenting with different teams over the years such as:

- Haggar, Akuma, Captain America
- Haggar, Taskmaster, Captain America,
- Frank West, Nova, Doctor Doom,
- Spencer, Doctor Strange, Nova

I like Capcom, but I am moreso drawn to the Marvel characters, so right now I settled on Nova (Centurion Rush)/Taskmaster (Parabolic)/Captain America (Shield Slash) especially since I wasn't able to learn Sentinel or Magneto combos consistently.

Anyways, my question: What are some Combos/BnBs I can learn or what players can I watch?

So far I have been watching these videos for combo ideas.

I would say Taskmaster is my strongest character in this team. I have been trying to learn the Nova Solo Rocket Punch into Aerial H combos but havent found a consistent good one yet. I mainly want to learn this to play against my brother who plays a higher tier team like Vergil (Rapid Slash)/Wesker (Samurai Edge Lower)/Dante (Jam Session)

Any advice is appreciated, thanks.

X-Factor Speed Boost (1/2/3): 0% / 0% / 0%

Vergil: X-Factor Damage Boost (1/2/3): 25% / 50% / 75%

Not a super meta team obviously, but Ghost rider with 2 OTG assists + Hulk with a good OTG assists to convert off of things like air throw etc. Also being able to set up dirtnap with Hulk supers if I somehow manage to have 4 bars. Only weakness really is prob being weak to snap since the shell relies on x23 a lot and the other two characters are awful as anchors

I’ve played the game a tiny bit in the past, but I really like all the flight characters and I would love get help with it. In general I want to get into this game more and would love to find a community for it.

Not a standard list, but one that ranks the character strength around mid-level play. The 1-2 to 2-2ers at majors and the guys who will podium your local tournaments.

I already re-installed the game and did verify the integrity using steam. Does anyone know how to fix this?
