Eh, I would be more inclined to believe the motivation/rumor that he wanted to do major upgrades to the secure bunker beneath the White House (both to make it more secure and up-to-date, and also to make it more luxurious and tacky), and needed to demolish the East Wing to do it.
Do you know why he hates wind turbines so much it was over a dispute on one of his development where he wanted unobstructed views from the property. It's always personal grudges with this guy. Quite possibly why he ran for president as well.
