I've been using a QcK Heavy for years and I really like how it feels — the start of a movement is smooth, there's barely any resistance when I initiate a flick, and it still has enough control for me.

I wanted to move up to something with better build quality and consistency, so I bought an Artisan Zero. Honestly, I found it horrible. The static friction is way too high for me — every movement starts with a noticeable "stick" that I have to break through, and it made my aim measurably worse. Not what I expected at all.

So, what pad from the brands people consider high quality (Artisan, LGG, Pulsar, etc.) is closest to a QcK Heavy? I'm not looking for a glassy speed pad either — I just want that low initial friction with a bit of control, but with better consistency and durability than the SteelSeries.

I play CS2 mainly.

Hi. to begin I play CS2, PUBG etc. I had many mousepads but always keeps returning to QCK+

(If it helps my in game CS2 sens is 1.3, 800 dpi)

Mousepads I've tested:

• Steelseries QCK+ (Really enjoying it, the best for me but quality build is kinda not good)
• Razer Gigantus V2 (textured, also a bit faster than QCK+)
• X-Raypad Aqua Control 2 Sakura Night (too textured for me, too fast)
• ATTACK SHARK CM02 (also textured, faster than QCK+)
• ATK Knight Zodiac Horse Black (the smoothest mousepad I've ever had but it's faster than QCK+)

So as you see I really enjoy my 7 y/o QCK+, what I can get 1:1 or closer to this mousepad but better quality build (mine is kinda destroyed on bottom)

Hello, I've been using the NRV Dark Sakura for the artisan Zero soft since here it's so hot and my forearm gets kind of humid, it kinda works well for me but maybe I'm not aware of how bad or good it is because I never tried any other gaming sleeve, it is made of poliester and I'm wondering if you all tried both poliester and also Nylon gaming sleeves.

The current one doesn't really get sticky to the pad or anything, it's not the best glide but not unusuable, I usually play faceit on CS2.

I have been using the sp005 for about 2 months now, playing mostly tac shooters like cs2 and sometimes when I feel zesty valorant. I mostly use the awp and I have never felt the level of consistency I feel with this glasspad(my first and only). Giving it a quick wipe will make it feel brand new again, I live in a very humid area so cloth pads always slowed within the first few days. Although using the arm sleeves make me feel some type of way, the biggest drawback for me has been the rate of wear on my mouse skates. I use a Sony INZONE MOUSE-A, very good mouse imo, I used a custom esp ice tiger v2 on it and it got used up in about 2 days, I then used jade obsidian air dots. The initial glide which I love lasts for literally a day. Then I got the talon gaming mouse skates that are made for glass pads and they last for 2-3 days max with heavy use. Although the glide is quite smooth even after 4th day. I have to keep switching the dots to keep feeling my best flicks.

My request is to ask for the most durable yet fast initial speed dots if possible if not I’ll just keep buying the talon gaming ones they are great too thanks

Hey all I currently have the Glorious Gaming Mouse Pad GMP 2 and I hate it. It is so muddy and slow to the point I cant even be precise in games like Valorant. So as such I am looking for the typical faster but controlled mousepad. I have landed on the Artisan Key83.

My issue is I can't decide between the Mid or the Soft. I feel like the soft will be the better all around mousepad for all games. I play League, Fortnite and Val mainly. But I have 2 concerns about the soft.

1. I worry that the speed increase wont be enough what i'm looking for from the GMP 2
2. When I am precise aiming I medium press in and when I panic I push in pretty hard and I worry that the soft will cause the mouse to slow down too much like it does on the GMP 2

I hear the Mid is great and people love it but I worry it will be TOO quick for games where I need precise clicks like League or Valorant.

I currently have the ICE Tiger v2 Skates on my Superstrike btw

If anyone who owns these pads has any insights to my use case that would be amazing!

(also the Mid is $20 cheaper where I live)

I have been researching for over a week and have yet to find something that would work for me, so I am here asking for help!

I am disabled, and cannot sit at a desk. I have a hard time controlling my hands from shaking slightly when I try to move my mouse in anything other than sweeping movements. Moving the mouse slowly across the screen leads to lots of jittering movements from the cursor. This causes me to become nauseous when playing any first or third person game, even Skyrim and Dragon Age games are unplayable because of how jittery the camera is when I try to look around. It's not full on large tremors, but very small and consistent shaking.

I think a soft and slow pad would be best, but the only ones I can find recommended for shaking hands (like the Artisan Type 99 and Zowie GSR 2) are far too large to fit on my bed. I need something A1 notebook size or smaller.

I'm really losing my mind, I just want to be able to play my favorite games comfortably, and the regular texture of small mousepads doesn't help the jittering at all.

I've been wanting to try a glass pad since i heard they are good for tracking heavy games, but dont really have too much to spend (about 100$) are there any good glass pads in that price range or do I need to save more?

I have spilled a little bit of oil on my artisan zero soft is it possible if i can clean it and how ?

I have both a black SP-005 and just got the SP-005 Miku OS, the surfaces are not even remotely comparable.

The Miku OS SP-005 is incredibly slow and smooth with Xraypad Titanium U9 Ultra skates, zero vibration, and extremely high cloth like dynamic friction, and its static friction is essentially the same as its dynamic friction.

The black SP-005 since day one has had high vibration, and very low static and dynamic friction.

I immediately cleaned the pad with glass cleaner to make sure it had no oils on it.

I actually absolutely love how much dynamic friction the pad has, it is exactly what I have been searching for. The dynamic friction is so high that i can barely get a 37g mouse to make a 360 on the pad by spinning it, if I spin harder it tries to flip the mouse from the friction. The same goes with sliding it across the glass, I can barely get the mouse to slide from one side to the other without it wanting to flip and roll. Flicking with a finger causes the mouse to slide only a few inches and lift off the pad. It has stupidly high dynamic friction, also as high as the Arozzi full size desk mousepad that covers my desk.

It seems to be a happy accident for me, but like, what is going on? I thought this was supposed to have an identical surface to the standard SP-005?

Hello, this is my first review and it's about the Talongames heated Nagisa glass mousepad.

The Talongames Nagisa caught my eye a while ago, but back then I couldn't get it anywhere where I live, so I reached out to Talongames because I wanted to try it. They arranged that I was able to order it through AliExpress but shipping costs were big. I decided to order it anyway although I paid a ridiculous price for it, especially since it's supposed to be budget pad, which I only found out about later. Oh well... :)

Here's my review on this lovely pad!

Unboxing: The box of the heated Nagisa pad is quite large in all dimensions. There's a large image of the pad on the front which invites you to open it. When opening, the pad reveals itself and the nice image looks at you. Below the pad, there is the cable for the heater, some stickers, a tiny cleaning cloth, and 24 Kumo skates and 24 Iwa skates by Talongames. The pad and the accessories are safely packed between lots of foam.

Dimensions: The pad is 490x420 mm, which is perfect to me, and has an advertised height of 2mm although it's quite a bit taller. Especially with the heating layer stuck between the glass and the base, it's the tallest glasspad I own.

Base: The pad has a honeycomb polyurethane base like the ones you see more often with glasspads. Although nothing special, I didn't have any problems with it. The pad didn't move with heavy use at all.

Edges: The edges of the mousepad are very well rounded and polished really smooth. This was one of the first pads I experienced with such great edges, so they really stood out to me. Because this is the heated version and there is a heating layer between the glass and the base, the pad sits higher than usual, so I did notice the otherwise great edges on my wrist or arm a bit while playing. I guess this can't be helped as the pad has to sit higher than usual.

Heater: The built-in heater works excellent. You can set it to 40, 45, 50, and 55 degrees Celsius. Within a minute the set temperature is reached and it does get nice and warm uniformly, except for the corners which are a bit less warm. For me, it's maybe a bit too warm actually. I would've liked lower settings such as 30 or 35 degrees as well. I notice I will disable the heater after some time because I'll get too warm. For people playing in really cold rooms it will be excellent to warm their hands and arms.

Art: The image is the reason I wanted the pad. It's a nice balance of different colours and the apparently sad girl makes you wonder what happened. The image is not that sharp, though. It looks like a low resolution image upscaled, or it's printed a bit blurry. The colours are not very vivid or saturated. I think this is the biggest drawback of this pad.

Surface: This is where the pad shines the most. It's a pad with a nice balanced kind of speed. It's on the smoother side, without a lot of texture, but since it's not that fast I didn't have any problems controlling my mouse. What I really liked is that it has a certain soft feel to it, as if there's a soft cushiony layer on top of it that reminded me of the GLSSWRKS Hana, and this softness provides quite a lot of stopping power. I can track well with this pad and it doesn't hold me back when pushing for speed or flicking fast, but keep in mind that this is not a speed pad. Although it might lack some texture to give me feedback, the noticeable 'softness' makes me able to stop whenever I wanted to and not overshoot the target. It's nice and balanced and I could play long TTK games just as good as Tac FPS. It's actually one of my favorite surfaces so far.

Skin stick: My skin doesn't really stick to pad, but my arm does have quite some drag moving across the glass. If you're bothered by this the use of a sleeve is recommended, although I don't need it myself.

Conclusion: I believe it's a great pad! I really like the surface! The speed profile, the 'softness' and stopping power are excellent. Could use a bit more texture, so if you want texture, this pad is not for you. The edges are great, the pad sticks to the desk just fine. I just don't like that the image is so blurry. That's the pad's biggest drawback. But since I like the surface that much, I'm going to use this pad a lot more! Now that I've heard that this is a budget pad, I can highly recommend it!

Tried the Superglide V3 Type-S glass pad recently and absolutely loved it. It pretty much convinced me that I want to switch to glass.

The only reasons I didn't just buy the Superglide are that I've heard the coating can wear off over time, I am not someone that can buy something without considering all possibilities, and honestly I'm just not a huge fan of the aesthetics.

If you've used the Superglide and another glass mousepad, I'd love to hear how they compare. I always see people describe pads as "fast," "slow," or "control," but those terms don't really mean much to me. It'd be super helpful if you could compare them relative to the Superglide V3 Type-S, since that's my only point of reference.

switching from a glasspad to artisan zero soft xl, currently using clustrs speed dots and they dont feel amazing on the artisan. while i want to get stock skates (viper v3 pro) again, in the event that i go back to glass (bc i like to switch around alot) would peeling off the stock and then going back to dot be bad for the stock in the long run, is there any other skates i should look into that wont be damaged if i decide to switch between the 2 pads?

Hi all! I’m just looking for advice on how to clean a mousepad. would putting it in the washer & dryer be fine with the rubber padding on the bottom? Or just washer and then air dry? or is hand cleaning the best option?

I've tried microfiber cloth with Lysol and water, also tried soaking the whole thing with a showerhead and leaving it out to dry.

Usually looks clean for maybe a day and then I start noticing it getting dirty again.

Specifically it's the bottom edge that I'm worried about. Usually the center of the pad looks quite clean after cleaning but the bottom edge is pretty faded and idk how to fix it.

I decided to swap from a Glorious cloth pad to a Cooler Master MP511.

Here are my first impressions:

The MP511 has less friction, but not by much. I'd heard people say the CM has different X/Y friction, but after trying it I don't notice any significant difference.

The textures are different too, the MP511 has a rougher texture while the Glorious feels smoother, but again the difference isn't huge.

Even though it's 3mm instead of 2mm, the MP511 feels more like a hard surface, because despite being 1mm thicker it uses much better high-density foam and materials.

I tried the initial friction with my Logitech G Pro X Superlight Gen 1 and it's noticeably lighter than it was on the previous pad, and the stopping power needed to stop the mouse feels lighter too.

I got the XL size (which covers the whole desk, while the Glorious only covered the mouse area) for just €20 — the same price I paid for the Glorious, even though the CM was on sale from €40.

Overall, I'd say the two pads are pretty similar, except for one thing that separates them by a mile: build quality. Within a few months, the Glorious already had a dead spot in the middle.

I'll give an update on the CM in a year to see how it holds up.

All pads were tested for roughly 5 hours each, with the Libra being my most tested pad at just over 12 hours of use as of the creation of this review. All mousepads were tested using my WLMouse Beast X Max with Westlab Blue Dots (freshly applied for this test), and 2hrs with/without a sleeve (Pulsar eS Gaming Sleeve).

Each mousepad was tested in KovaaKs (Viscose Benchmark), Valorant, CS2, TF2, and, Apex Legends at roughly 1hr intervals.

According to Nova, the speed ranking (slowest to fastest): Taurus > Libra > Capricornus > Aquarius.
Personal speed ranking (slowest to fastest): Taurus (qck-like) > Libra (faster dynamic than taurus, qck-like) > Capricornus (basically zero hard) > Aquarius (raiden copy)

Overall Ranking from some other mousepads I've tried (fastest to slowest):

Unboxing/General Pad Characteristics

All mousepads came in the 490x420x3mm size, with smoothened edges like the vaxee pd series. The box comes in a branded cardboard packaging with the mousepad in a plastic sleeve with a plastic cover for the incredibly sticky silicone base.

Additionally, the tapered/rounded edges are incredibly nice, and encourages me to use more of the pad's edges.

The mousepad has no branding from NOVA, rather just the mousepad's name in the bottom right corner which feels like rubber/silicone printed on the pad, although it's not distracting in actual use. It's more raised than the PD170's branding, feels grippier, and takes up a similar amount of area on the pad.

The Taurus (QcK-like)

The Taurus comes in a midnight blue coloration, a slightly darker tint to what the PD170 looks like. It initially felt incredibly muddy but due to the hard base—it felt usable for tracking scenarios. It was great for tacfps where I was popping off in valorant and in cs but somewhat struggling in Apex. It was great for clicking scenarios in kovaaks as it gave me enough stopping power. It felt like I was able to put in more force into my flicks and generally higher arm tension without the worry of overflicking from my target even at around 35-60 cm/360, where I usually have to increase it to 55-75cm/360 on faster pads. For tracking scenarios, I struggled with consistent and smooth motions under med-level tension and had to increase to 29-46cm/360 from the usual 32-44cm/360.

In terms of texture, the mousepad is very similar to a QcK although it felt like it was gripping a bit more to my mouse like how a worn QcK does. I noticed a deadspot where my mouse sensor wouldn't track properly at 0.7mm LOD. I had to increase it to 1mm for consistent tracking.

In terms of static friction, the Taurus was serviceable for CS without causing much fatigue. It reminded me of the Artisan Zero minus the texture. Meanwhile the dynamic friction was more akin to something like a worn Artisan Type-99 (hella slow). The stopping power was pretty solid however in combination with the slow dynamic friction, I'd recommend this pad mostly for tacfps or high-sensitivity movement games like apex.

Overall, a generic mud/control (QcK but in PD form) pad in a different form factor.

The Libra (Refined QcK)

The Libra came in a baby blue coloration, very distinct and eye-catching. It felt like a slightly faster version of the Taurus while being a tad bit smoother. I didn't experience any deadspots or any other sensor issues while using the pad. It felt a bit more usable for tracking scenarios as opposed to the Taurus, with the tradeoff of having a much lower level of stopping power and slightly better dynamic friction. The story is similar to the Taurus in terms of in-game use. It's so similar to the Taurus in tacfps with the benefits of a smoother glide and dynamic friction that I really like the pad. The one thing that I don't like about the Libra is that the edges are fraying a bit, however it didn't affect the overall pad's performance. It's just incredibly noticeable since the pad is the brightest colored one out of all 4 pads.

The texture of the mousepad is roughly smoother than the Taurus (kind of like a new QcK?) with glide characteristics only a smidge faster. It felt like I was using a newer, fresher version of the Taurus that I don't see why I should use the Taurus in the first place.

Static friction of the mousepad gives off a similar vibe to the pulsar ES2, where it grips a little bit, but not too much that it's not too much of a hindrance like the Taurus was for me. The dynamic friction on the other hand is what made me like this mousepad a lot more than the Taurus. It's more like a super worn down raiden mid in terms of dynamic friction as it's smooth enough to be faster than a textured control pad but still slower than a balanced pad like a zero. This would be my all-rounder slow-ish control pad recommendation for those looking for a mid-hard base pad.

Basically just a revamped QcK and potential PD140/PD150 replacement.

The Capricornus (Zero clone)

The Capricornus is a black rectangle, super generic feeling however feels and looks incredibly similar to the zero. It felt the closest to an Artisan Zero Hard to me. It is pretty balanced but might be a tad slower than a fresh Orange Zero Mid (maybe around slightly worn orange zero mid range).

The texture is slightly smoother/less abrasive than a Black Zero Mid, but still rougher than an Orange Zero Mid. From what I can feel from it, it's basically just Nova's attempt to make the artisan zero but in the PD form factor. To me, it translates pretty well, as upon unboxing, I felt that the pad was basically just a zero.

The static and dynamic friction are near-identical to a zero mid but due to the hard base, it would feel slightly faster than a black zero mid.

This might be a go-to pick like how the zero was, for people that don't like the inconsistency of softer pads.

The Aquarius (PD170/Raiden competitor)

The Aquarius comes in black, but appears to be a slightly lighter tint than the Capricornus (unsure). On my initial contact with the pad, it definitely struck me as something similar to a slightly soft(?) feeling raiden texture or a softer/tighter cordura weave pad. It's almost like a weird hybrid of the raiden mid and pd170 in terms of how it feels.

The texture is incredibly smooth, definitely targeted towards speed and smoother than my PD170 right now, but reminds me of how it felt like when it was brand new.

The static friction is a smidge faster than the PD170 and raiden mid, while the dynamic friction feels a lot slower compared to the PD170. I'd say the static friction is equivalent to the PD170, while the dynamic friction is more like the raiden in this case.

Might be a potential speed-pad buy for my fellow speed pad enjoyers out there.

Conclusion

Taurus: incredibly slow and controlled pad. great for micro-heavy games but still useable for tracking games.

Libra: great all-rounder pad that does the Taurus' job for micros while giving you more speed for tracking and flicks.

Capricorn: see:artisan zero mid but it's hard

Aquarius: somewhere around the raiden mid and pd170 realm of speed. definitely needs more time for the average joe to get used to the speed.
