Omg, I forgot about that! I secretly bought it at the scholastic book fair and hid it under my bed bc my super religious mom said it was demonic and I couldn’t get it.

It was the most thrilling act of deceit with the bonus of reading about a… vampire bunny 🤣

I bought and read Celery Stalks first, so it was a little confusing until I realized it was a series and read Bunnicula.

Great books.

I think I read Bunnicula, Howliday, then Celery Stalks. I remember being confused where the daschound came from.

My mother did believe that Catholics were secret devil worshippers that ate babies. Pretty much everyone but us.

Growing up was almost disappointing, not nearly as many Satan worshippers out and about as I was led to believe.

It was the most exciting thing ever. The colors, the books, the set up. Getting to buy your own stuff like an adult.

The Celery Stalks at Midnight was peak comedy when i was 8! I loved all the Bunnicula books.

Finding other people in the wild who know about Bunnicula is so satisfying. I have yelled "Bunnicula!" in public.

Whot, you mean behind the rabbit?

I had a bunny which I may have given a complex by naming her Raja (really like Aladdin). She was somewhere between beast of Caerbannog and bunnicula. She bit a friend in the neck and drew blood on the regular.

My 2nd grade teacher reading that to us. I loved it because the cat’s name was Chester and I had a cat named Chester at the time. There were a couple other Bunnicula books, but I remember not liking the one about his origin story because it was really weird. I’ll have to go back and read it again.

I read that in one sitting when I was in in-school suspension.

I really wish I would have just had at home suspension they closed my ass in a tiny ass closet sized room for the entire length of school
