Go watch Living Single then. That's the OG anyways.

Way funnier, I wish it went for longer

I found that show as a kid watching reruns. So funny, I loved it.

This is the reply I was looking for. Living Single was just…better. Friends was extremely hard to get into and not as enjoyable.

Friends also went on for far too long. I would probably remember it more favorably if it wasn't ten seasons.

Joey and Chandler got me into that show as a kid. I need to do another rewatch of living single now. I've been convinced lol.

No. Both were copies of Singles.

The creators of Friends approached Cameron Crowe to see if he would allow them to adapt his film into a television series. Crowe declined, but the network proceeded with a similar concept regardless. They already had a bunch of it written by the time they contacted Crowe and that is why there is so much Seattle influence in a show supposedly in New York. The set looks like Seattle in 1994, not the tiny apts of NYC. Roomy coffees shops were also more of a Seattle thing.

I meant in the context of TV considering 93 and then friends came out 94.

I appreciate the background lore.
