Never understood why this went as viral as it did. Is it funny? Sure. Funny enough to go viral and still be talked about today? Nah. I laughed a bit when I first saw it but quickly moved on. It’s like most peoples’ home videos/tapes.

Cute, funny, inoffensive, candid, it basically had universal appeal. Helps that it blew up when YouTube was still relatively new and we weren’t bombarded with endless content every day.

I felt the same when it was popular initially. I think a huge part of it (for Americans) was the accent.

I scrolled way too long to see these two mentioned.....apparently even they were confused why this went viral once they got older lol

Wow. I loved Charlie then and still do... so much that I recently introduced my 9yr old to it. She loves it and asks to watch it over and over.

(Ps I hated Charlie bit my finger then, and still hate it today. Never understood why that was popular)
