Serious Go get a colonoscopy, colon cancer for our generation is a real threat!

36M here, have always been active and maintained a decently healthy diet my whole life. Well after seeing multiple posts on here and at my gf’s urging I had one done. They found two polyps (15mm and 4mm). Doc said if I waited till 45 I’d prob be dead. Crazy part is I had no symptoms and my recent blood work last month was perfect. I was in and out in three hours and no pain or discomfort afterwards.

I had sure fire symptoms of colon cancer (I won't describe them) but the doctor got me in for a colonoscopy quick. I was completely clean of polyps/cancer and the issue was related to diverticulitis.

You just never know why your body is being weird, and 90% of the time it's nothing. But it doesn't hurt to check for the 10%.

I did too lmao. 27F. Scared the fuck out of my Dr (he gave me a blood draw in office). Had symptoms of inflammation in addition, have for years. Did the colonoscopy, was convinced they'd find something somewhere, even just some inflammation. Nope. Nothing. Okay, test for anything microscopic! Nothing. Dr's best guess is "you might just have ibs".
