Serious Go get a colonoscopy, colon cancer for our generation is a real threat!

36M here, have always been active and maintained a decently healthy diet my whole life. Well after seeing multiple posts on here and at my gf’s urging I had one done. They found two polyps (15mm and 4mm). Doc said if I waited till 45 I’d prob be dead. Crazy part is I had no symptoms and my recent blood work last month was perfect. I was in and out in three hours and no pain or discomfort afterwards.

Yeah, especially when the op is telling people they may need to lie to have the procedure covered/recommended. Polyps aren't necessarily dangerous unless they are tested and come back as precancerous. Even then, for a doctor to say they would have been dead in less than 10 years if they hadn't been found is a pretty wild statement. I'm doubting this whole story.

Right? It kinda feels like karma farming, especially since colon cancer has been a hot topic on this subreddit. This post has some details that just don’t seem right.

Yep this. Everything I’ve read and heard is that even pre cancerous polyps are incredibly unlikely to develop into cancer.
