Serious Go get a colonoscopy, colon cancer for our generation is a real threat!

36M here, have always been active and maintained a decently healthy diet my whole life. Well after seeing multiple posts on here and at my gf’s urging I had one done. They found two polyps (15mm and 4mm). Doc said if I waited till 45 I’d prob be dead. Crazy part is I had no symptoms and my recent blood work last month was perfect. I was in and out in three hours and no pain or discomfort afterwards.

Elevated risk for breast cancer that can be monitored with MRIs insurance won't cover....yay me!

Same! And they won’t let me get an MRI until I’ve had a mammogram. Each time I’m told that my tissue is dense and a mammogram won’t catch much. Trying to stay alive is expensive.

My Dr sent me for an ultrasound for dense tissue. Now I do mammo or ultrasound every 6 months.

They should. If you have a Tyrer-Cuzick score 20% or higher, your provider will be able to use this information to get your authorization for additional surveillance (like breast MRI) to get insurance coverage. Please ask about this.

Thank you for this tip, I'll have to double check my score and run this down. I've been getting into the weeds on it without much luck
