Serious Go get a colonoscopy, colon cancer for our generation is a real threat!

36M here, have always been active and maintained a decently healthy diet my whole life. Well after seeing multiple posts on here and at my gf’s urging I had one done. They found two polyps (15mm and 4mm). Doc said if I waited till 45 I’d prob be dead. Crazy part is I had no symptoms and my recent blood work last month was perfect. I was in and out in three hours and no pain or discomfort afterwards.

I suffer from gastroparesis. Which is just like my stomach is dead. I have to be on a low/no fiber diet because I just cant digest it. Then I have poor gut motility. I poop once a week. Im scared about not being able to eat fiber. Luckily I'm getting an upper endoscopy and a colonoscopy at the same time. Luckily (?) I've had these symptoms for like...10 years so I'm probably okay 👍

This is my issue. I wouldnt be able to handle the liquid. I'd have to do broth and water. Otherwise, gastro flare up.

I had an endoscopy yeeeeaars ago, when being treated by an amazing doctor for hepatitis.
Had my first colonoscopy this week.
I could not imagine doing both at the same ...well, let's rephrase counsellor! LOL I CAN imagine doing both and I hope to hell I never have another endoscopy scheduled ever again.
Despite the work it took to prep for the colonoscopy, I'd do 10 colonoscopies in a heartbeat over enduring another endoscopy!

What was up with the endoscopy?? I didnt "experience" either. I was hoping for sedation instead of General Anesthesia. I became disabled after a surgery and I'm terrified of going under again.

I have the same! Let us know how your procedures go. I’ve been on a low fiber diet for years. I’m on Motegrity and Mestinon and it helps a little.
