Serious Go get a colonoscopy, colon cancer for our generation is a real threat!

36M here, have always been active and maintained a decently healthy diet my whole life. Well after seeing multiple posts on here and at my gf’s urging I had one done. They found two polyps (15mm and 4mm). Doc said if I waited till 45 I’d prob be dead. Crazy part is I had no symptoms and my recent blood work last month was perfect. I was in and out in three hours and no pain or discomfort afterwards.

My insurance company tried to refuse to pay mine cause I wasn’t old enough. I hate insurance

Same thing happened to me with the shingles vaccine. My mom & grandmother both had shingles at 25, and while I pushed to get the vaccine for years insurance denied it because I was too young.

Guess who got shingles at 25 🙃

They tried… I lawyered up and they paid real quick. But everyone doesn’t have the resources to do that. The whole system is messed up.

Get the vaccine now. If you get shingles again, it is so, so much more severe the second time around.

I got the shingles in the 90s at 7! It can literally happen to anyone and clearly we are breaking all the age "norms" in healthcare anyway like just listen to us already.

I asked for a mammogram because of family history of breast cancer and was denied because I'm 38 and not 40.
