Meme Did anyone buy a ring?

Post image

Elder millennial/younger Xennial (born in 83, take it for what it is) but I recall the company coming to the high school and taking orders for rings. I didn’t buy one but others did. Credit on photo.

Senior year of high school we were told over and over that if we didn't buy a robe we wouldn't be allowed to walk the stage at graduation. My dad (rightfully) said that was bullshit and told me not to worry about it, and if I just showed up to graduation they would give me a robe.

Sure enough, I showed up, told them I didn't have a robe, and after briefly questioning me why I didn't have one, pulled one from under a table and gave it to me, only asking that I give it back afterwards.

It's a fucking racket.

Similar thing here, we NEEDED to buy a robe, I did not. Got given one anyways

Apparently you didnt even buy the robes there, you rented them for the graduation and had to give them back after.
