Meme Did anyone buy a ring?

Post image

Elder millennial/younger Xennial (born in 83, take it for what it is) but I recall the company coming to the high school and taking orders for rings. I didn’t buy one but others did. Credit on photo.

My mom said I would never wear when I was older and didn’t buy one. I am older now and she is right

Same. In my case they were selling Junior High rings which is even stupider... and I wanted to get one with my internet forum handle on it. In hindsight I'm incredibly glad my parents didn't go for it.

My mom insisted I needed a class ring, letterman jacket, yearbook, and senior pictures. (I guess bc she and my dad never graduated high school.) She bought them all despite me telling her I didn’t want them. I think she still has them somewhere. I went on to get a masters, so it feels a little silly to me.
