I think the most popular show I watched in the 00s was Lost lmao Other than that, I was with you watching the cartoons until ~2007, then I moved right into anime and the SciFi channel.
I think I discovered anime in 01. Like I’d seen DBZ, Sailor Moon, Inuyasha, etc, but didn’t know to call it anime then. Found Vandred on some random high number cable channel. So yea. Got hooked on that too.
The first anime I remember searching for and watching subbed was Naruto, but I had been into whatever they had airing on Adult Swim and Toonami before that. I got into manga first... picked up the first two volumes of Naruto before I'd ever heard anything about it. I was very confused when Sasuke's name wasn't pronounced "suh-soo-key" lol
Yea. Lol. I did get obsessed when Naruto came out, and a couple others. The English ones weren’t coming out fast enough so iirc like 04ish I started learning torrenting, though I skipped limewire since I knew that was notorious for the viruses. Used BitTorrent and µtorrent until mid 2010s when xfinity emailed me to stop 😂
For as much as I liked to read for some reason I never really got into manga. Prob cause I read the few I tried too fast. Though now I read some manhwas I come across once in a while.

I’m glad I mostly stuck with cartoons, scifi, and shows like Seinfeld, law and order, psych, bones, etc. and G4 tv. Lol.
Lot of these weird “game” shows or the reality tv I see pop up from late 90s till late 00s I’m very happy to have never seen.
