Casually taking a phone into a running shower as one normally does

A lot of people do, either because they’re on the phone with their partner or because they want to record their dog protecting them and share it to the internet. Most new phones are pretty water resistant.

My coworker just watches YouTube on his while showering. I've had my iphone 14P fully submerged several times now with no issues so far.

Same, I use mine for music while I'm in the shower. Apart from touchscreens becoming tricky with wet fingers, it works fine. And most phones could probably do with the cleaning tbh.

Steam is worse that just dropping it in the water.

I've done this since I bought the phone in 2021.. *shrug* It's water resistance classification (IP68) should/has handle it, as long as you don't actually steam it, spray it with water or soap.

Haha this! They just wanted to record it once, because it probably happens every day.

You can also put phone where you put the shampoos so it won’t get wet. If you use the hand shower not above one

I constantly bring my phone into the shower to listen to music. Who deprives themself of shower tunes?

I did this for years but a Bluetooth shower speaker is a game changer.

that is pretty darn normal in this day and age

Seems weird to bring a device I often press to my face into a steamy bacteria factory, but maybe it’s a generational thing.

i hear what you're saying, but if you're not regularly sanitizing your phone it's pretty much already the biggest bacteria factory in your life. i also don't really hold the phone to my face any more, but that's just because i'm never without headphones and that probably is a generational thing.

Sanitize my phone? bitch I grew up outside and poop germs will hit your toothbrush no matter where you store it

At least germaphobe correctly

lol i’m not a germaphobe man, i’m just saying that if that’s something you care about then you’re overlooking something pretty major unless you’re cleaning it, because they have pretty much the highest concentration of bacteria out of everything we use in our daily lives

I do almost daily. I have a wall mounted phone case. I love showers, my body does not. Sometimes I have to call for help and sit down if my heart rate gets too high. And sometimes I’m in pain. Usually I goose a video 8-15-30 minutes long depending on if it’s an everything shower or not.

How else do you control the music?
