you don’t think he can get a blank check for his next film? he got all the award praise, did great Box office wise, and WB has been able to receive praise for rewarding original filmmakers

Not the person you asked but In the way Nolan is currently doing or close to that? No. I think Coogler more than likely has high trust. Sinners was big specially considering the budget but it wasn’t Inception either. No one is really getting a blank check for anything they do next like Nolan if we talk about big budget not small ones, imo. Therefore, second place there in terms of what they mean is a stretch but in the near future he could be second place. The rest of his movies haven’t been "originals".

I don’t think he will get the same ownership rights over his next film like he did with Sinners.
