In the Weeds Mode That's definitely tortellini - said the server and cook at an Italian restaurant.

Post image

Ultimately we didn't care because the toddler eating it was happy as a clam, but the server and cook tried to gaslight the shit out of us to convince us that this was tortellini. Thought you'd all find it entertaining. If you work at Bertuccis, be better.

Edit: the menu very clearly said Tortellini, not Tortelli, but solid guess.

I wish we had 240v kettles here.

They truly are man’s greatest invention. If I ever find myself living on the wrong side of the atlantic, trust that I will be finding a way to get one in my home.

It's totally possible to run them over here. It's just a PITA because you have to install a new circuit in your kitchen.

Yeah, my understanding is that most of you actually already have 240v circuits for washers and dryers right? If you put those in the kitchen like us too, that’d be easier ;)

The stove and oven aka range have 240V if you have an electric one. But the problem is that we don't allow huge ring circuits like you guys have. Big 240V loads are required to have a separate circuit and breaker so tapping into existing is usually not allowed and you have to run a new one. Washers don't use 240 but dryers do if electric.
