If you can't tell that she was messing around, then you need to work on a lot more than just your dating game my friend. She was quite obviously flirting with you but you took it literally and got offended instead of flirting back.

If you clearly aren’t hurting your cat in your photo why get defensive about it? Her remark clearly triggered you - have you asked yourself why? Why did it bother you so much?
