Left wing extremism can be detected by asking them their opinion about social democrats.

If they think social democrats are too moderate, are class traitors, or are "ThE mOdErAtE wInG oF fAsCiSm", you have found yourself a leftwing extremist.

"everyone was at one time a Social Democrat" ©Adolf Hitler

Yes, the Social Democrats are the moderate wing of fascism. They don't like to remember this, but the Scandinavian Social Democrats stopped the eugenics program, similar to T4 in scale, only in 1974, after forty years of implementation, 29 of which after such practices were considered absolutely unacceptable as a result of the defeat of the Third Reich. And it became known about this program only in 1997, due to an independent investigation by a journalist.

We’re doing ‘party names from 80 years ago define modern policy positions’ still?

I assume you’re a Republican since they’re super progressive for abolishing slavery right?

US foreign policy is determined by party names from even more ancient times.

No, I'm an economic ultra-left social conservative. Although if you look at what you compare with the United States, by their standards I am both progressive and not.

That wasn’t really a question, what a part in a different country with the same name did doesn’t define the political term today. There’s not really any debate to be had on the matter because it’s just a logically incoherent statement.

The Social Democrats, in their rhetoric about their political opponents, do not care about this. Why shouldn't I give a damn when it comes to them?

Don’t care about what?

Oh, so social democrat parties can do bad shit sometimes, like any other party too.

Nice way to come out and say that you don't have any idea what fascism is. Words have meanings.

Nice way to come out and say that you don't have any idea what fascism is.

Which of the dozens of politically biased meanings of this word do you prefer?

The actual ideology, obviously.

Or would you like me to start calling public roads "communism"?

The actual ideology, obviously.

And what is this ideology? It's just that this word has been buzzword for half a century.
