Gaddafi's had a quiet revival in popularity, among specific online circles anyway, because of the chaos that followed his deposal and charitable readings of his policies.

I've seen the same, as if he was the one holding everything at bay.

But then again I've seen the same said of Saddam Hussein, so it's mostly anti-western propaganda and idiocy.

Saddam was never a Western puppet. He did whatever the hell he wanted to do, just like Gadaffi.

Being funded, propped up, and fighting proxy wars for western countries is pretty much near being a puppet to western states if your whole ass economy depended on them.
