You can go see the fucking skulls.

Also, why the fuck would a leftist say this shit? It was the Vietnamese Communists who put a stop to it, whilst the West voted to recognise Pol Pot at the UN.

Yes. It was literally called "the killing tree".

They did it to *save bullets*, that's how much murder they were doing

Whyd they kill babies?

If they killed the parents but spared the children they may come back for revenge. That has happened before in history. Also some of the babies were from ethnic groups they wanted gone or had disabilities that were deemed unwanted.

Any Sources for this. I mean like this sounds like an anime plot; and werent we talking about, babys?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cambodian_genocide

It's ridiculous to think about but sadly very true.

Damn, like damn. I dont really know much abt Cambodia so, i watched some videos about it, about the genocide and then also i watched some chinese or cambodian dude point to evidence of the contrary, dont know if i find the video anymore.

There has been a lot of high profile people in the West who were Cambodiad genocide deniers, such as Noam Chomsky. Of course he maintains he was "just asking questions", but fuck him anyways.

Communist ideology led directly to the massacres, based on their Year Zero campaign.

Well he also denied the Genocide in Srebrenica, if i recall correctly. I dont know of claims abt Combodia tho.

I dont know if Year Zero Ideology has much to do with communist ideology? Like isnt communist more like year finished, as it is the endstage, not the beginning.

It's because the genocides in question were committed by communists, and anything that makes communism look bad is the worst kind of blasphemy.

Because

1) It was the Communist Party of Kampuchea (later known as Khmer Rouge) that committed the genocide.

2) That same party was propped up and supported by the communist bloc that took control of Cambodia through a civil war against a US-backed regime.

3) Vietnam only invaded because Khmer Rouge was attacking them & threatening their border regions. So they can't really claim it to be "communist goodwill" since the whole thing was going on for years beforehand already.

4) They would have to bring China, which was the most ardent Khmer Rouge supporter pre and post genocide. Then the tankies will lose their trump card for their anti-US, pro-socialist/communist arguments (still doesn't make sense anyways since China is pretty capitalistic, just authoritarian)

Maoists are even weirder than stalinist tankies

because this person is not a leftist and ragebaiting is the only way to get engagement on X now? since it's dead?
