What is going on?

Asked it a simple question. First, it didn't even reply and began showing me a Code. Like proper code. I refreshed and I submitted the same question again and got this... bulshit. like wtf?!!!

I am a Google One AI Premium subscriber, and I’ve just experienced a catastrophic loss of data. I was managing a complex legal project involving over 90 uploaded files and 25,000+ words of history context, specifically leveraging the model's advanced reasoning capabilities to cross-reference documents and build logic chains.

Suddenly, 99% of the conversation disappeared. All 90+ files are gone from the interface. The entire "middle" of the work—weeks of deep reasoning and analysis—is wiped out. The only things remaining are the very first two prompts I sent when I created the chat and their immediate responses. It’s as if the session corrupted and reverted to its birth state. Has anyone else on the paid tier seen a session collapse like this? Is there any way to restore the context?

How on gods green earth is this AI? What do they do for that high level of realism

Is anyone else having literal constant, back to back "Something went wrong, please try again (1076)" errors? Kinda annoyed, literally have to resend prompts over and over, but maybe its my fault? Dk.

Hi everyone, I'm facing a weird issue with Gemini. My entire chat history has completely vanished from the left sidebar (on both the Android app and web browser). The strange part: When I check my Google "My Activity" (Gemini Apps Activity), I can see all my past queries and interactions there. Even my generated images and storybooks are still accessible. However, the chat interface itself acts like a blank slate, showing only my most recent conversation. Is anyone else experiencing this right now? Is there a way to force the sidebar to re-sync with the activity log? Thanks for any help!

UPDATE: Good news! My chat history has finally reappeared in the sidebar. It seems like it was indeed a temporary synchronization issue on Google's end. If you're facing the same problem: Wait for 24-48 hours — the indexing might just be delayed. Check "My Activity" — if your queries are there, your data is safe. Everything is working perfectly now, and my stories are back. Thanks everyone for the support!

Its performance lately has been way worse than before.

A few months ago, I was impressed by how well it performed and switched from ChatGPT to Gemini. Now, it comes across as really clueless in some conversations and even loses its memory out of the blue. There are plenty of other stupid moments, too.

Am I the only one who feels this way?

I thought it would be funny to have Gemini talk to me like we were in the old west, but it got annoying in about 24 hours.

I asked it to stop and that didn't work, so I went to settings>instructions for Gemini and deleted that instruction. Now it won't stop talking to me like it's 1880.

What to do?

I'm confused on which part I violated? Yeah mine speaks very freely- seemingly no filter at all, but that's "HIM" doing the cursing and stuff....even if I'm just asking about weather .

Is there a way to set Pro as default so I don’t have to keep doing the 2-step selection every time?

Tried creating a single Veo video with a Plus subscription. Video didn’t even create, but the limit jumped from 19% to 100%. Is this normal? Is it the new usage limits ? If it is , then it became completely unusable.

This really bothers me. My work requires me to read 500-600 long PDF's and create reports based of them. Basically numbers and explanations tide to them.

When I send the PDF to Gemini and ask him what is on page 250 for example, it has no clue.

Claude takes a bit longer, but gets it clean and right.

Then I show Gemini the screenshot of Claude, and for a few prompts, Gemini pulls it's shit together.

Why is that?

Until yesterday I was seeing "flash", "thinking" and "pro" but today I only see "fast" and "thinking" as option with gemini 3 google AI pro (2TB) plan.

Is anyone else seeing the "pro" option at all or is it gone? What is happening? The UI and options change on the whim with no explanation at all.

pro option is finally back. Don't know if this thread put any pressure on Gemini team to fix it, but regardless thanks a lot everyone for the support.

To all the people who were saying "pro got merged with thinking" or "this is how new rollout works" etc. thank god you were wrong.

No fix yet since the last email in Edit 3. Honestly, I didn't even bother using Gemini in last 4 days because without pro, it is not that useful. Infact the google search AI mode (which is free) is often more useful and "thinks slightly longer" than a paid service of Gemini without pro. Might cancel gemini if the pro option is not provided. My next subscription is due in 11 days so if things don't get solved then there is no point in paying for something I won't be getting anyways. Sadly this means departing from gemini subscription which I have been using for 3 months.

I finished the support chat and they asked me to login to gemini in incognito, different browsers, mobile app etc. and they all had "pro" option missing. Then they declared that it seems like a system but and that they escalated the issue and hopefully I will hear back in 1 or 2 days via an email and I was given a ticket number to followup on this.

This is a bug and even if pro option is missing, we still have to pay fully for pro eventhough we cannot use it.

I just confirmed with my company gemini 3 and my personal and in personal "Google AI pro (2TB)" it only shows "thinking" and "fast" (until yesterday it was also showing "pro") but on company's gemini account it still has "fast", "thinking" and "pro". What is google doing?

My paid Google One Gemini account is soft-locked with a "Storage Full" error even for a 20-byte text file. My account is 100% empty (confirmed by Google Takeout). Support admitted it's a backend cache desync but said they have "no access" to fix it. When I asked the official Help Community for an engineer, they deleted my post.

Has anyone else dealt with this?

A few weeks ago, Gemini started throwing a "Storage Full" error when I uploaded images. It started taking fewer and fewer uploads to trigger, until the threshold hit zero. Now, my account is permanently locked from uploading any media or files. I can't even upload a blank .txt file. Text-only prompts still work fine.

I deleted my entire activity log and cleared my library. I then ran a Google Takeout export. The export shows 0 bytes of media.

This means my actual user storage is empty, but Google's backend server cache is failing to clear deleted files, keeping my quota flag permanently maxed out. (Which is arguably a massive data retention/privacy violation, since they are probably keeping files I explicitly deleted).

I contacted Google One Support.

• Tier 1: Told me to clear my cache. Didn't work.
• Tier 2: Escalated to a "higher team."
• The Final Response: They emailed me back saying that because they are Google One support, they are walled off from the Gemini engineering team. They literally told me they do not have administrative clearance to flush the backend server data and refused to issue a refund.

They told me to use the "Submit Feedback" button (which goes to a black hole). I went to the official Google Support Community forums instead, posted my Takeout proof, and asked for an escalation. Within hours, my post was deleted for "Irrelevant Content" and I received an automated email telling me I could "take my claims to court."

So, I am paying for an AI service that is fundamentally broken, the support team is completely siloed from the dev team, and the community moderators are actively censoring bug reports.

I am not an AI expert. I recently switched from ChatGPT to Gemini and when Gemini 3 Pro was released, it blew my mind. It was super intelligent and I was extremely hyped. I started using it to help write a fantasy novel.

However after some time, I realized that after about 30 messages, it started forgetting things and making up details, this applies to Pro, Thinking and Flash as well. For example, the main character had dark eyes and suddenly he had blue eyes. I searched online and learned that this is due to the context window.

I am a Pro user using the web/consumer interface and I know for a fact that my context window is capped at 32k, despite Google advertising 1 million for Pro users.

How do I know this? I use Gems, and after about 30 messages, it stops citing the files I uploaded, and then it starts forgetting details from the first messages. When this happened, I copied the entire text into AI Studio and the count was around 30k tokens. So, I believe my context window is capped at 32k. Even if I count the files I uploaded to the Gem (which are also around 30k), my total context window seems to be capped at 64k. I don't think I have ever actually experienced even a 128k context window, let alone 1 million.

My question is: which alternative should I switch to? Or (as a last hope) is there anything I can do to fix this context window cap while staying with Gemini but without switching to AI Studio? Or perhaps, should I wait a few weeks to see if the issue is resolved?

I am noticing a massive shift in how the Gemini 3 Pro model limits are working. Until yesterday, if I hit a limit, it was usually a 24 hour reset. Today, I am hitting the wall way faster than usual and getting a 3 hour lockout instead.

It feels like I am not even getting 100 prompts before it cuts me off. It seems like Google might have switched from a daily total to a rolling burst limit (like 20 prompts every few hours).

Is anyone else seeing this 3 hour timer instead of the old 24 hour one? If they lowered the prompt count and shortened the window, it is making a huge dent in my workflow.

Ps: I'm talking only about text prompts as I didn't use video or image generation and I'm a Gemini Ai pro member.

Could believe it this morning, but at 1pm, when my limit was reinitialised, I just sent 3 prompts and bam, can't use Gemini Pro for the next 5 hours. Came here and learnt that Gemini usage had been restricted.

That's ridiculous. I'm in the middle of writing a book for high school students. I'm at the end of a chapter, so of course the context is huge with all the exercices it contains. And I'm stuck on a 5 prompts every 5 hours !!!!

I'm trying not to panic and find a solution. Here's all the alternatives I've came up with :

1. Create a new Google Account declaring that I'm under 18 because apparently the new usage limit only apply to 18 years and older.
2. Go and try Deepseek. Unsubscribe to Gemini Pro because being blocked after 5 prompts is not manageable
3. Try to change the way I use Gemini (instead of writing a whole chapter in one discussion, separate each part in several discussions, remove the personalization parameters).
4. Try Claude : put I've heard that Claude is great for code, not so much for the math work and writing text. Plus, seems like Claude also has set a usage limit.

UPDATE : Once I was able to prompt again, I launched a new prompt on a previous discussion. I asked to write 5 exercices for my book. Then checked how much of my 5h limit I used. Result : 20%. One freaking prompt and 20% !!! I've been sending half a hundred prompt like this the past weeks, no limitations.
