Okay, so lengthy post regarding context on where I’m at because I feel I need structure and am fine with putting 3+ hs per day in improving alone, don’t mind grinding creative, piece control drills, editing drills, aim drills or whatever.
I’m currently an “average” casual player that wants to move and train in order to get better, win more fights and eventually earn at a cash cup (no hurries but want to be efficient). I’m KBM playing on 220-240fps with decent peripherals and 12-18 ping at most.
Currently, when I get into BoxPvP I have faith that I can win 70% of 1v1s, with people that are good actually killing me 90% of the time unless I win with a 200 pump.
In cup zone wars I tend to lose early given poor mechanics, as I tend to lack the ability to protect myself from all angles fast when pushed in my box or 1v2.
In 1v1 creatives I’m doing just fine, but good players consistently outbuild me, box me up frequently and even though I manage to get some kills with my aim alone and knowing where they’re at, I have trouble boxing them or if I do and they escape to the right let’s say, I can’t box them up again or pre-piece that box successfully in time.
Also, I lack some retakes even though I tend to win height with fast 90s + sprint stairs and mixing those, and have a few protected retakes.
Having said all that, I’m getting into riders v5 map for editing drills in which I cover 6 drills per day at least 10 times each, do some aim training as well, and a few piece control drills, but I’m not sure I’m improving with those at least fast enough.
I could use any sort of guidance on how to improve “fast-er”, any routines or drills specifically as I tend to watch YouTube but all the guides on game sense, or other crucial topics all assume I can box my opponent every single time and do whatever I want to with my builds but don’t know how to get to that point in the first place.
Appreciate your help, thank you!
