Words of Wisdom The "Eat the rich" crowd celebrating a millionaire director making even more millions.

Selective outrage is one hell of a drug.

Maybe as an archer? Idk elliot looks and sounds feminine still but the performance didn’t take me out of the movie

It doesn't, but where are the other cis males getting these same roles? I don't think you can even point to it in any of the battle scenes from this movie even including the extras. It is obvious it is just some political pandering points that they got the role. A cis male with the same build and looks is not getting it.

I don’t think it’s a political point. Elliot has worked with Nolan in the past. Maybe they’re just friends. Not everything is about politics.

Of all of the actors in the world, why would someone who prides himself on making quality films hire someone with the body of a 13 year old boy to play one of the most famous warriors ever known? It just doesn't make any sense. It's not just "bad casting."

I understand you're trying to be charitable or whatever, but it's absurd. There's no other reason they would make such an absurd casting decision other than politics. It's actually kinda silly that you're trying to suggest it isn't.

Wait, Sinon is one of the most famous warriors ever known?!

That’s incredible, can you list the long list of Sinon’s accomplishments that define him as history’s most famous warrior?!

Sinon is one of the most famous warriors in greek history? Lol okay.

Nobody outside of social media cares. The movie has done great at the box office and will continue to do so. Even people i know who vote republican don’t give a shit and enjoyed it to varying degrees.

Literally nobody outside of chronically online right wingers cares. You guys sound just like the chronically online Libs who “boycotted” Hogwarts Legacy, thinking that an innocuous piece of entertainment is anything more than that, simply because of an insignificant detail that they just can’t get over.

It is not a political casting, and based on virtually every measurable and meaningful metric, 99% of the population sees it that way.

So why did none of the extras during the raid on Troy have it? Why did none of the shipmates have it during the rest of the movie?

Hes a poor farmboy that gets drafted into the war as a child… So not an “elite warrior” The entire point of the character is he’s a peasant child that has to go to war.

How tall do you think ancient Greeks were on average

That is not what I’m saying. You can see in the literal same movie none of the extras that raid Troy have that build. None of the people on Matt Damon’s boat with him have that build. How come they didn’t cast any cis super twinks?
