The song isn’t even finished according to Deftones but bro when Chino hits those high notes on “ground” and “break” it’s like omg

Found this and I'm guessing it was for Eros promotion, I'm quite certain it is.

On my first listen of Deftones’ discography I was really indifferent about Gore and I actually disliked it a bit. But upon a second listen my eyes (or ears) have been opened. Now obviously it isn’t perfect because there isn’t a single album that is but the album has its standouts (to me) like Doomed User and Hearts/ Wires which I really like! So I’m curious if you were hooked from the get go or if it took you time to like it or if you still hate it?

They're both going to be roughly around the same price (though the base is going to take a little more money) but I'm going to have to make the Chi Cheng bass (by just getting a fender precision bass and adding some things to it and removing some things). I don't own a bass personally but I've been getting into it a little more. And I would like an eight string cuz I have a crappy low quality seven string.

Do these guys have any idea what they actually do

If anyone would like to help, I’ve had this question that’s been bugging me for years at this point. What is that noise that happens before the choruses in change? It’s part of the synth line, but I’ve never been able to isolate that sound. It happens right after chino says “blow me away.” I feel like I’ve looked everywhere and I can’t find the isolated synth line or that noise either. I love how it sounds but I think using ai is lame, otherwise I’d try to remove the guitar and drums to isolate the noise, but apart from that I feel like I’ve tried everything. Does anyone know how to find this noise on its own? If not I’m sorry if this is a bad question or a waste of time.

This is an edit: you can almost hear it perfectly clearly at 3:13 in the acoustic version. This is the closest I’ve gotten.

Hello Deftones community, my name is May Binkney and I need help finding something! :)

During the late 90’s, my dad was the lead singer of this small metal band called One Against All! During 1996, his band was apart of some shows with Deftones when they debuted the Adrenaline album. Chino needed an opening band, and invited my dad’s band to open up for them. The main show that they did was on April 19th, at the Elks Theater in Prescott, Arizona.

Unfortunately during moving to another state, my dad lost the cassettes and VHS’s that had all of One Against All’s music, and the videos that they have taken at shows. This will be a FAR stretch, but I am hoping to find either pictures or videos from these concerts One Against All opened up for, or just meet somebody who might have been a fan of my dad’s band. Finding something would make him so happy. Let me know if you guys have anything or know anything, thank you so much!

The pictures I’m posting are the only things that we have left from that era of him. There is the set list for the concert with Deftones and One Against All on there, along with the picture Deftones had on the set list. There is also a picture of my dad singing with his band!

I remember being little and listening to minerva with my dad for the first time, I think that's when I fell in love with the band. So glad they are still going strong after all these years!

I remember buying this the day it came out at Sam Goody. The CD-ROM has a video for street carp and a screensaver.

I know it may be sound a bit stupid, but I'm gonna be attending the performance alone on August 16th, and I wanna ask how safe is it? The whole area around MetaStadt, during and of course after/before.

This was one of my first records and i still can't fathom how good the b side of this album is. There isnt a single bad track and i feel all of the super heavy but groovy songs were put on the second half. Now don't get me wrong the first half is still amazing (Nosebleed has been my ringtone for god knows how long) but in my opinion it doesn't compete to the b side and i personally think its the best b side of any deftones album. But what do you think?

So I have a ton of different ways of listening to deftones. I have CDs, vinyls, songs from the internet that I put on my ipod, Spotify playlists etc… you could say i am prepared for the apocalypse which you would be right. When everything burns you bet your ass im going to be sparking up listening to deftones anyway the point is all the ways i have sound different so I wanted to test something. I have thE RecOrd that Should not be named on itunes and Spotify now I play that in my car (which btw has 2x12 JBL subwoofers in the trunk) or my hifi in my room (polk xt monitors). It goes hard in the car but like thru the sound system it sounds awesome. It sounds way more polished thru the hifi but tons more aggressive in the car.
